Why should I book my cruise online?
SmartCruiser.com offers the biggest discounts for online bookings. With just a few clicks of your mouse, SmartCruiser.com will display real-time cruise availability and special web discount pricing.

Can I call SmartCruiser.com to book my cruise and still obtain the web rate?
If you request to speak to an agent about booking your cruise, your cruise rate may be slightly higher than the web discount pricing.

What if I need a handicapped cabin? Can it be booked online?
Handicapped cabins cannot be booked online and you must call SmartCruiser.com to book. However, SmartCruiser.com will honor the web discount pricing for cruises that cannot be booked online.

What if I need to book more than one cabin and need to coordinate dining arrangements or have other special information, such as a honeymoon or birthday?
After you book your cruise online, simply send us an email with your request and we will promptly add the information to your reservations.

What does GUAR mean on the cabin selection page?
This means that you can purchase the specific stateroom category on the ship but a stateroom will not be assigned yet. Usually you will find out the stateroom number at the pier. Occasionally the stateroom number will be provided in advance. You will never receive a cabin in a category less than the category booked and there may be a possibility of an upgrade.

What is the total cost of my cruise and what is included in that total?
Once you have decided on the ship and itinerary date, chosen a cabin category and selected a cabin assignment or guarantee cabin, the total cost for the number of passengers selected is displayed. The total cost includes the cruise fare, port charges and government fees, but does not include trip insurance. There are no additional fees added to any of SmartCruiser.com's prices when booking online.

When will my cruise be confirmed?
Immediately after you enter your credit card number into our secure system and click PURCHASE, your information is then transmitted to the cruise line and a booking confirmation will be displayed on your screen. An email is also sent confirming your cruise purchase.

How will I be billed? Do you bill a deposit? Or do I have to pay in full now?
SmartCruiser.com transmits your credit card details securely to the cruise line you are booked with. You will be billed by the cruise line for the total cost of your cruise, not by SmartCruiser.com. Normally, if your cruise is departing within 70 days of your reservation (90 days for holidays and special sailings), your credit card will be billed the total price at the time of confirmation. If your cruise departs beyond 70 days (90 days for holidays and special sailings), you would only be billed a per person deposit. Each cruise line has their own deposit requirements and SmartCruiser.com transmits only the deposit amount required by that particular cruise line. SmartCruiser.com automatically transmits the final payment for your cruise on the due date required by the cruise line.

When will I receive my cruise documents?
When you book a last minute cruise (within 21 days), your cruise documents will likely be electronic or pier pick-up. If you have booked your cruise in advance you can expect to receive your documents approximately 14-21 days prior to your departure.

What if I need to cancel my cruise? Should I buy trip cancellation insurance?
If you cancel your cruise after the final payment deadline, you will suffer cancellation penalties. The cancellation penalties may range from the loss of your deposit to the entire cost of your cruise. We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance to protect your vacation investment. The cost of trip cancellation insurance normally runs about 10% of the cost of your cruise, but this may vary.

I have never done business with SmartCruiser.com. What are your qualifications?
SmartCruiser.com is the internet cruise division of Palm Coast Travel located in Boca Raton, Florida. Palm Coast Travel has been in business under the same ownership since 1987 as a full-service retail travel agency. Palm Coast Travel is accredited by the Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) and the International Airlines Travel Agent Network (IATAN). These organizations have strict financial guidelines and bonding requirements. Palm Coast Travel is also a member of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).
