The Seaport welcomes the 2008 cruise season with a number of new cruise ships to its line-up. Fleet additions include the 694-passenger Azamara Journey and the 710-passenger Azamara Quest, boutique vessels operated by Azamara Cruises, a new subsidiary of the Celebrity Cruises brand. Also new to the Port offerings is the Balmoral and Braemar, operated by Fred Olsen Cruise Lines. Among the large new vessels sailing from the Port of Miami is Carnival Cruise Lines' 2,974-passenger Carnival Freedom, while the port also has the distinction of hosting the industry's largest ships - Royal Caribbean's sister vessels Liberty of the Seas and Freedom of the Seas - each of which boasts a sailing capacity of 3,634 passengers. Driving Directions:
From the North: Take I-95 South and exit at Northwest 8th Street. Head south to 5th Street and make a left. 5th Street will lead onto the Port of Miami bridge. Continue over the bridge and follow signage to designated terminal.
