The highly anticipated Independence of the Seas will embark on her maiden voyage in mid-May 2008, offering 14-night Western Mediterranean sailings from Southampton, England to the Spanish, French and Italian Riviera. Independence also offers travelers four voyages to the Canary Islands on ten- and 11-night itineraries. Guests aboard Royal Caribbean's Europe cruises will enjoy the cruise line's signature amenities. Independence of the Seas will feature the revolutionary FlowRider surf simulator and regulation-size boxing ring.

We have a wide selection of shops onboard. Plus art galleries, art auctions, and a chance to explore some other activities, like wine tastings.
From the delicious cuisine in the main dining room to the casual convenience of the Windjammer Cafe, we have the dining experience you're looking for.
Dining on our cruise ships is as exciting as every other aspect of life onboard. There are so many different dishes and enticing atmospheres to experience you won't know where to start: pasta at Portofino, classic burgers from Johnny Rockets, gourmet five-course meals in the main dining room. In addition, all of our cruise ships offer low-fat ShipShape Day Spa menus, kids' menus, and, if you arrange in advance, kosher menus.
Main Dining Room
Our elegant main dining rooms are a great place to start the morning off right or finish off a fabulous day with a five-course meal.
Windjammer
Enjoy spectacular buffets and incredible views. The casual convenience of the Windjammer Cafe and the wide variety of meals and snacks available make this restaurant a guest favorite.
Cafe Promenade
Grab a slice of pizza or a quick sandwich, or enjoy the popular favorites, Seattle's Best Coffee and on some ships, Ben & Jerry's ice cream. You'll find Cafe Promenade in the middle of the action on the Royal Promenade.
