Since 1872, there have been six Holland America Line ships to bear the name Rotterdam. Today's flagship ms Rotterdam continues the tradition of honoring the city which gave birth to Holland America Line over 130 years ago. Featuring twice as many Penthouse Verandah Suites as any other Holland America Line ship with a total of four, these 1,159 square feet suites indulge the senses of any seasoned cruiser with a separate Bedroom with 1 king-size bed, oversize whirlpool bath & shower, living room, dining room, dressing room, private verandah, pantry, 1 sofa bed for 2 persons, mini-bar, refrigerator, and floor-to-ceiling windows.

My experience with Holland America ships is that most of the passengers are over 45, with some very elderly. This is a good experience for that age group as everyone has common interests. There are some younger families but I think the younger couples and families would enjoy another ship more geared to their age group. |
