Ship is still beautiful but starts to show age

This is a perfect ship for cruisers who travel without children and prefer a small ship atmosphere. If you prefer to party into the morning hours you will probably be better off on another ship. That is not to say that there is nothing to do in the evening, nightlife is just not as extreme as on other ships/cruise lines. The average age of cruisers is probably around 50, there are not many children on board and most passengers on this ship seem to be seasoned cruisers. Due to the length of the cruise (14 nights), the higher than average age and lack of children has probably something to do with both time and affordability. There are about 50% of UK passengers on board this ship which makes for an interesting and enjoyable experience. Passengers can embark in both Ft. Lauderdale (mainly US passengers) and Barbados (mainly UK passengers). Although the Sea Princess is an older ship and not as 'glitzy' as newer ships, if you like cruising the Southern Caribbean and enjoy a different port every day, this is a wonderful cruise. |
