Douro (Portugal)

Begin your journey down the Douro River, with its dramatic gorges, lush vineyards, and tranquil fishing villages in Porto and continue on to the ancient and picturesque city of Lamego. Enter Spain to visit Salamanca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the beautiful inland countryside and the palace and gardens of Mateus. Your African adventure will begin with a three-night stay in picturesque Cape Town. Next, fly to Kasane where you will transfer to the Chobe River to begin your wildlife cruise aboard the Zambezi Queen. You’ll explore Chobe National Park, home to one of the densest populations of wildlife on the African continent. Encounter elephants, giraffes, leopards, lions, gazelles, zebras and buffalos on excursions by boat or open-air vehicle. Conclude your journey with two nights at legendary Victoria Falls, one of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders.

European Ships

AmaWaterways ships are finely appointed Riverview staterooms and suites where most feature French Balconies or Twin Balconies which range in several sizes depending on the ship. Enjoy all the amenities of a fine hotel: plush down bedding, marble appointed bathrooms, large closets, complimentary high-speed Internet access and first-run Hollywood movies. Enjoy additional complimentary amenities such as Wi-Fi, a specialty coffee station and a fleet of bicycles. Most ships include a fitness area, sauna, Sun Deck with a walking track and whirlpool, Chef's Table restaurant and a stylish Main Lounge.

Asia

AmaWaterways features Luxury and spacious standard staterooms, all of which have private Twin Balconies (French Balcony plus a full size step-out balcony). The ship’s elegant public areas include two stylish restaurants serving delicious cuisine, an inviting lounge, a fitness room, hair salon, three spas and a refreshing Sun Deck swimming pool.

Africa

The Zambezi Queen offers a sophisticated onboard experience designed to maximize animal sightings. Your comfort is ensured when staying in any of the air-conditioned balcony staterooms (which range up to 300 sq. ft), all decorated in contemporary style. The air-conditioned top deck of the ship offers a dining room, lounge, bar and pool area for your comfort. Enjoy game watching from your stateroom, or visit the top deck for a beverage, sun bathing and more game watching.

Terms and Conditions

Cruise fare includes all normal shipboard services and facilities plus, all meals, all nonalcoholic beverages, select wines, beers, during lunch and dinner and shore excursions. The cruise fare does not include cruise port, security, navigation, berthing, stevedoring, and baggage handling/storage charges, fuel surcharges, fees or charges imposed by governmental or quasi-governmental authorities, sightseeing or meals ashore, taxes, gratuities, visa fees, laundry or valet service, or any item or service whatsoever of a personal nature, such as any massage or salon services which may be provided onboard and for which separate charges may be imposed. Transfers between the airport and ship on the day of embarkation and disembarkation are not included.
