Pros & Cons

The Pros

it was an adventure

The Cons

food could be better
The Review
A cruise on the Amazara Journey gives you a good feeling of travelling with a mature group of passengers who have definitely been on other cruises before. You will find a majority of the passengers to be North Americans as this is where the ships marketing is mostly concentrated. You can tell from the get go that the fellow passengers are well travelled and are opting for the Amazara Journey due to its advantage of going to prestige rarely visited ports of call. It is always pleasant to take this cruise as you get a good variety of ports to see. The Amazara Journey is great for those who are mature but yet still love to travel and explore distant destinations.

The Cons

The Review
If you are the type like me who still loves that old classic look from the fifties and sixties then you will love the time you spend on the Azamara Journey. Yes, they are always trying to refurbish its interior but the design that it already has to date is already pretty captivating. It is something straight out of the golden age era. Unlike most of the other cruise ships that I have been on, the Azamara Journey does not have you running up and down decks just to get to particular points. Its architecture is flowing in a way that everything connects without much of a hassle so you will love going around the ship.

Pros & Cons

The Pros

service

The Cons

Too crowded on the ship
The Review
One of the best things about the Azamara Journey is its architecture. When compared to a majority of the other ships out there, the Amazara Journey takes the crown when it comes to architecture simply because it makes it easy for passengers to get from one point to another. With the Amazara Journey there is no hassle of ascending or descending decks just to get to certain rooms. Thanks to its simple yet classy design you can get to the pools, restaurants and any other areas of interests without having to cover multiple decks. The only time you would ever have to go through a bottleneck is when you need to get to their show lounge or Discoveries restaurants on Decks 9 & 10. All in all the architectural design is one to be applauded.

Pros & Cons

The Pros

very relaxing

The Cons

food could be better
The Review
The Azamara Journey cruise was delightfully casual. Unlike most ships that would make you dress up formal even though there are no regulations about it, the Azamara Journey has most of its passengers dressing in the “casual elegance” dresscode. It was very rare to find gentlemen in blazers and this is very important if you are taking a cruise to relax and get away from the corporate norms we are so used to. During the day you would find passengers dressed in whatever they felt like depending on whether the ship was scheduled for a port stop and the general day’s weather.
