The Review
The Queen Mary 2 is by far one of the best cruise ships that I have ever set foot on. Immediately we boarded I was blown away by the elegance that went into its architecture and decoration. The ceilings were nice and high and there were enough private balconies to enjoy. There were enough different restaurants to try out and this kept the cruise exciting. When it came to activities one could go for the champagne art auctions or hit their relaxing spa. My best attraction was the planetarium that they used to play classic movies. The experience was totally out of this world.

Pros & Cons

The Pros

the architectural design

The Cons

too quiet
The Review
One of the most fabulous things that I loved about the Queen Mary 2 right from the get go was the architectural design that put the ceilings so high. It gives it a grandiose feeling that I never got tired of everyday on the ship. The ambience was great and the interior decorator did well when complementing the architecture with their fabulous art. The architect also made sure to incorporate plenty of private balconies so almost everyone can get a chance to relax on their balcony with a nice Martini.

The Review
To me, there is no better way to cross the Atlantic than with the grandiose Queen Mary 2. When I first boarded the ship I was truly impressed by the art that had gone into its décor and the breathtaking high ceilings. Right from the beginning I could tell that I had not packed enough formal wear as the ambience of the ship was pretty formal. Of course it was not necessary to dress formal but a lot of the passengers who came from different corners of the world did it anyway. We had a large number of private balconies from which we could spend hours enjoying the vast stretch of water with no interruptions as with other ships

Pros & Cons

The Pros

Entertainment

The Cons

Room size and decor
The Review
The main hallways and public areas are very beautiful. I would like to know where the stateroom luxury was located because it sure wasn't in our cabin. Our room decor was out of the 50's and worn out. This was the worst. The free laundry room would have been nice except it was always crowded and had restricted hours. I was impressed that your dog or cat could be taken on the ship. I think the cost to take this ship was over priced. I hope that I don't have to go on this ship again.
Additional Information
Ship Quality:
The entire ship appeared well maintained and clean. I found some areas difficult to get to since the ship is narrow and very long.
Dining and Food:
Although the dining room was beautiful, our waiter at dinner did not meet my expectations. Somehow we were always the last table to be served. I thought the food was average and included the worst lobster tail that I have had on a ship. The tables in t
Stateroom Quality:
This was the smallest stateroom I have seen. The decor was right out of the 50's. Definately needs a facelift. The lamp shades needed to be replaced. The ceiling light fell out of the ceiling and it took two days to get them to repair it. I was very
Ship Staff Quality:
Our room stewardess was very pleasant and did her job well. I didn't encounter anyone who did more than the basics.
Entertainment Quality:
The performing entertainment was spectacular and the best by far that we have experienced on a cruise ship.
Family Friendliness:
I didn't like the class separation. The activities were alright, but I never saw any children so I don't know if there were things for them to do.
