The Review
We sailed in May and the Getaway was fairly new. I expected some new ship glitches and found none. The ship is beautiful. The staff outstanding. The entertainment fantastic. The food in the included restaurants exceeded our expectations to the point that we did not feel it necessary to book a specialty one. Our mini sweet was on the small side but the bathroom was large with two sinks and a huge shower(quite unusual for cruise ships) Getting on and off the ship was a snap with no long delays at any port. The ropes course was my favorite distraction.

Lack of Entertainment Diversity
The Review
The ship was clean and had a lot to offer. The bowling alley was a disappointment after using the ones on previous NCL Ships. The dueling piano bar was fun at first but got old after a set. The money here would have been spent better having an acoustic guitarist playing in one of the other lounges or bar areas.
Additional Information
Ship Quality:
No complaints here except one major snafu. No forward elevator. If you end up in the front of the ship, be prepared to walk over 100 yards to the nearest elevator. Cant believe they designed a ship this size with only 2 elevator banks. One midship and o
Dining and Food:
The food was excellent and the placement of upper end food like prime rib and lobster outside of the normal dining venues was really nice and convenient.
Stateroom Quality:
No problems here except we must have been on the end of a sewer line and the "P" traps were not staying full causing a bad odor in the bathroom.
Ship Staff Quality:
Very accommodating and attentive to our concerns. Do not get to miami after 2:30 because even though the ships daily paper says all aboard at 3:30, the cruise terminal locked the doors at 3:10 and we had to beg to get on.
Entertainment Quality:
As stated in the first paragraph, this part could have been better.
Family Friendliness:
Did not use this feature, but the kids seemed to be having fun in the activity area which was adjacent to the midship elevator on deck 12.
