What a wonderful introduction to the world of cruising!
written on May 4, 2011 by Robyn R. of Innisfil Ontario
Pros & Cons

The Pros

The ship itself.

The Cons

The sales people in Mexico. They were pushy to the point of frightening.
The Review
I confess I was concerned about seasickness, but quickly learned there was no need to be! I cannot imagine why anyone would go to a "sit and stay" when they could instead move thier entire hotel to a new location every day! The food was amazing! 5 star all the way. There was so much to do on board that we just couldn't fit everything in that we wanted to do. From the entertainment to just enjoying our balcony. I truly can't wait to go again!
Additional Information
Ship Quality:
What I enjoyed most was how much space there is on the ship to enjoy the great outdoors! From dancing to eating to movies in the hottub under the stars! Wow, what an experience!
Dining and Food:
As I said the food was 5 star dining at it's best!
Stateroom Quality:
Very comfortable! We lacked for nothing!!!
Ship Staff Quality:
Some of our favorite people on board were "staff" but they made us feel that they were more like family!
Entertainment Quality:
What can I say except that I wish there had been more than 24 hours in a day, and that I could figure out how to be in 2 or more places at once!
Family Friendliness:
There is something for everyone on board. They have something to hold the interest of the newest baby to the most senior adult, and then some!

Cruise Virgin Classic Southern Carib Cruise

Pros & Cons

The Pros

This graceful ship and the people who make her purr.

The Cons

Still thinking.
The Review
It was Love at first sight. Sitting pretty along side in San Juan March 7, 2010. First cruise ever but luggage and check in was easy, quick and painless. There were vendors selling water by the case in San Juan. Do yourself a favor, buy a case and lug it along. It's allowed and you'll be glad you did. In hind sight it seems we were wisked off the curb and onboard in an instant (15-20 min). We were on the ship by 2 and our room was ready and waiting. We dumped off our stuff in a small but cool room and dashed off to explore.

Having been my first, I'll always hold a soft spot in my heart for this awesome ship. Some have been known to make fun of the shopping cart handle Skywalkers night club on the back. I think it looks great and makes for a great perch to watch the great s
Dining and Food:
We had dinner in our Main Dining Room every night and found the food, service and atmosphere great. Our waiters, Head Water (Enrico Moretti) were spot on with every detail. The food was as advertised. "Made from scratch". Hand made to order Nutella Ice

Ship Staff Quality:
As mentioned before, we had the pleasure of hitting a home run with our dining room staff. I swear our waiters jumped through hoops while lugging huge trays of food. The Head Waiter Enrico Moretti was delightful, visiting our table every night, with a w
Entertainment Quality:
Good to border line very good. The shows in the Princess Theater don't really cut it for me, I tend to find these shows to be lame. These shows were kind of fun. They had a couple comics doing stand up they were very funny.
Family Friendliness:
Between the Outrigger Bar at the Horizon Terrace and the Terrace Pool I had all the activities I needed. I'd rate my exploits and activities: pretty good.

Pros & Cons

The Pros

Its very spacious

The Cons

Slow room service
The Review
One of the things that I loved to death about the Caribbean Princess was that you can literally spend your entire cruise vacation trying to explore the whole ship and still not succeed. It is just so wonderfully spacious and full of things to do and see. Unlike most ships that you have to scramble and pay top dollar just to have a room with a balcony, the Caribbean Princess has 900 staterooms with balconies so you can relax. You can do sports, go shopping, visit an art gallery and even get married in the Hearts and Minds Wedding Chapel.

Pros & Cons

The Pros

Plenty Balconies

The Cons

Not everything runs through the night
The Review
If there was ever a ship that literally has everything you need and more, it is definitely the Caribbean Princess. For those who want to sweat there is a fitness gym, putting course and basketball or volleyball courts. There are 5 pools on the ship that you can chill in or if you prefer the opposite, two hot tubs. You can visit the arty gallery or if you feel like shopping you can visit the duty free shops. There was a library that I did not enter even once because I thought it would be a waste of my vacation and there was wireless internet anyway.
