Widely recognized for their interactive, electronic education programs and products for the pre-kindergarten through grade 8 education market, LeapFrog SchoolHouse's award-winning writers and editors have worked with Celebrity to make available onboard a variety of their most popular products, and created six exclusive educational modules for children ages 3 through 9.

The new programming onboard focuses on topics including dinosaurs, science and space, sports, the world, art and music, and wildlife. Celebrity Cruises is keeping pace with the trend by introducing a new vow renewals program, which the line launched in a particularly meaningful way.

Dr. Charles Garbarino booked Celebrity's vow renewal package as a surprise for his wife, Lydia, while the couple sailed this season in Alaska on Celebrity's Summit with two other couples, one of whom they met on a cruise during their honeymoon 20 years ago.

Garbarino, an Army colonel and pediatrician, has served twice in Operation Iraqi Freedom and is being deployed to the region again in April 2007.

MIAMI - October 11, 2006 - Celebrity Cruises has taken its first major step toward physically launching Celebrity Solstice in Fall 2008. The line's President Dan Hanrahan today ceremoniously pressed the start button for the plasma cutter at shipbuilder Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, creating the ship's first steel plate.
"This is a very exciting day for the Celebrity brand, as we take the first tangible step toward making Celebrity Solstice a reality," said Hanrahan.
