The world’s cruise fleet, 15 minutes from baggage claim.
PortMiami is the busiest cruise port on earth: nine lines, a dozen terminals and a ship leaving almost every day of the year, from a 3 night Bahamas weekend on Icon of the Seas to a 14 night transatlantic on Regent. SmartCruiser shows every sailing leaving Miami from every line, prices each one with taxes and fees included, and puts the sailings with SmartCruiser bonus onboard credit or instant savings at the top.
Three ways to sail from Miami
Miami has more choice than any port in the world. Start with the kind of trip you want and we narrow it from there.
Bahamas long weekends
- 3 and 4 nights, most Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday
- Nassau plus a private island day: Perfect Day at CocoCay, Celebration Key, Great Stirrup Cay, Ocean Cay or Bimini
- Icon of the Seas, Carnival and adults-only Virgin Voyages all run them from Miami
Best for: first cruises, birthdays, a long weekend you can fly into on Friday.
A 7 night Caribbean week
- Eastern loops to St. Thomas, St. Maarten and San Juan; Western loops to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica
- Saturday and Sunday departures all year on Royal Caribbean, NCL, MSC, Celebrity and Carnival
- The biggest ships afloat are based here, so the sea days are half the vacation
Best for: families, couples, multi-generation groups, anyone who wants the classic cruise.
Southern Caribbean and beyond
- 8 to 11 nights to Aruba, Curacao, Barbados and St. Lucia on Celebrity, NCL and Oceania
- Spring and fall crossings to Barcelona, Rome and Southampton, 12 to 16 nights with no flight over
- Partial Panama Canal transits with Cartagena and Costa Rica on the way
Best for: experienced cruisers, retirees with time, anyone who would rather sail to Europe than fly.

Stack any filters, then pick a sortPrices are per person, double occupancy, in US dollars, and include cruise fare, taxes, fees and port expenses as published by the cruise line at the moment you load this page. Fares are capacity controlled and change daily; the fare is confirmed when you book. Flights, hotels and transfers are extra unless the line’s offer says otherwise. SmartCruiser instant savings and bonus onboard credit are provided by SmartCruiser on top of the cruise line’s price and are not available when booking direct; amounts are per stateroom, vary by stateroom category and are shown for the lowest category offered. Special SmartCruiser rates are pricing SmartCruiser holds on that sailing for its clients, with extra onboard credit; you book your own stateroom and travel on your own. Senior fares apply to guests 55 and over; resident fares need proof of residency in a listed state or province at check-in; police and fire fares apply to active or retired police, fire and EMT personnel with ID. Qualifier-fare savings are measured against the best fare the cruise line offers the general public for the same stateroom category on the day the list was pulled, updated weekly.

Miami cruise questions we answer every day
How much is parking at PortMiami?
The port garages next to each terminal charge $25 a day at most terminals and $35 a day at the MSC (Terminal AA) and Norwegian (Terminal B) garages, paid by cash or credit card (no debit), so a 7 night cruise runs roughly $175 to $245. Royal Caribbean sails from Terminal A, NCL from Terminal B, Virgin from Terminal V, MSC from Terminal AA and Carnival from Terminals D, E and F, and each has its own garage a short walk from check-in. Off-site lots on the mainland typically charge about $10 to $15 a day with a shuttle.
How far is Miami International Airport from the cruise port?
About 8 miles and 15 to 20 minutes in normal traffic. Taxis from MIA to PortMiami are metered now (the old flat rate is gone) and typically run about $30 to $40 with the airport surcharge; rideshares usually come in a little less. Fort Lauderdale airport is also an option, 30 miles and about 45 minutes north. For a Saturday sailing, land Friday; same-day flights work only if you arrive before noon.
Should I arrive the night before?
Yes, especially from November to April when morning flights into Miami run late. Downtown and Brickell hotels are 5 minutes from the port, and many offer park-and-cruise packages that include a week of parking. South Beach is 15 minutes away if you want an evening out first. We can add the hotel night to your booking.
Do I need a passport to cruise from Miami?
On a closed-loop cruise that starts and ends in Miami, US citizens can sail with a government photo ID and an original or certified birth certificate. We still recommend a passport: if you miss the ship or need to fly home from a Caribbean island, you cannot board a flight without one. Transatlantic and one-way sailings always require a passport.
Are taxes and fees included in the prices here?
Yes. Every price on this page includes cruise fare, taxes, fees and port expenses, per person, double occupancy. Gratuities, drinks packages, excursions and parking are extra.
What time should I get to the terminal?
Most Miami ships board from about 11 am and sail between 3 and 5 pm, with check-in closing 60 to 90 minutes before departure. Pick an arrival window in the cruise line app, and aim for the middle of it; the first hour is the longest line. Guests who booked through SmartCruiser get our terminal and day-of tips with their documents.
