Europe’s biggest river fleet, a French kitchen, and the bar is included.
CroisiEurope is the family-owned line from Strasbourg that has been feeding people on the rivers since 1976, and it now runs the largest river fleet in Europe: the Rhine, Danube, Seine, Rhone, Loire by paddlewheeler, Douro, Po, Elbe and the Dutch canals, plus the Mekong and the Zambezi. It suits travelers who want French food, drinks included at the bar and with meals, a European crowd and a fair price, and it is the only big river line with proper 4 and 5 night cruises. SmartCruiser lists every one of its 2,049 sailings with taxes and fees included, puts the SmartCruiser picks first, and adds SmartCruiser bonus onboard credit per stateroom on sailings where the line allows it; the few itineraries that show as fares by phone we quote the same way, taxes and fees included.

Stack any filters, then pick a sortPrices are per person, double occupancy, in US dollars, and include cruise fare, taxes, fees and port expenses as published by the cruise line at the moment you load this page. Fares are capacity controlled and change daily; the fare is confirmed when you book. Flights, hotels and transfers are extra unless the line’s offer says otherwise. SmartCruiser instant savings and bonus onboard credit are provided by SmartCruiser on top of the cruise line’s price and are not available when booking direct; amounts are per stateroom, vary by stateroom category and are shown for the lowest category offered. Special SmartCruiser rates are pricing SmartCruiser holds on that sailing for its clients, with extra onboard credit; you book your own stateroom and travel on your own. Senior fares apply to guests 55 and over; resident fares need proof of residency in a listed state or province at check-in; police and fire fares apply to active or retired police, fire and EMT personnel with ID. Qualifier-fare savings are measured against the best fare the cruise line offers the general public for the same stateroom category on the day the list was pulled, updated weekly.

CroisiEurope questions we answer every day
What is included in a CroisiEurope fare?
All meals, French cuisine with wine, beer and soft drinks at lunch and dinner, and an open bar between meals for everything except premium spirits and champagne. Wi-Fi is included. Excursions are included on some itineraries and sold as a package on others, so check the sailing you like or ask us; gratuities are at your discretion and most guests leave about 8 to 10 euros per day.
How big are the ships and the cabins?
The river ships carry 90 to 176 guests on two or three decks. Cabins run about 120 to 160 square feet, smaller than the newest American-market ships, with fixed windows on the lower deck and large opening windows or French balconies above. The Loire Princesse and the Africa lodges are much smaller, 24 to 96 guests.
Who does CroisiEurope suit?
Travelers who care more about food, wine and the places than about a spa and a suite. The crowd is mostly French, Belgian, Swiss and a growing number of Americans and Canadians; announcements and excursions on the sailings we sell are in English as well as French. It is also the line for a 4 or 5 night river taster.
What happens with high or low water?
A few weeks a year, usually late summer or early spring, a stretch of the Rhine or Danube cannot be navigated. CroisiEurope coaches around it or swaps ships and the itinerary continues. The Seine, Rhone, Douro and Po are far less affected, and spring and fall are the lowest risk on the big two.
Do I need a passport or visa?
A US passport valid at least three months beyond your return date for Europe; no visa is needed for stays under 90 days, though the EU’s ETIAS travel authorization applies once it launches. Vietnam and Cambodia require e-visas for the Mekong, and the Zambezi program needs visas for Zimbabwe and Botswana. We send the current rules with your confirmation.
Are taxes and fees included in the prices here?
Yes. Every price on this page includes cruise fare, taxes, fees and port expenses. Flights, hotel extensions, optional excursion packages and gratuities are extra. Where a sailing shows fares by phone, we quote it the same way, with taxes and fees included.
