Glaciers by Tuesday, no passport, home by Sunday brunch.
Seattle is America’s Alaska port: nearly 900 sailings a summer from Pier 66 downtown and Pier 91 at Smith Cove, almost all of them 7 night round trips to Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and the glaciers with a Victoria, BC evening on the way home, on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian, Princess, Holland America, Carnival, Oceania and Regent. SmartCruiser shows every sailing leaving Seattle from every line, prices them with taxes and fees included, and puts the sailings with SmartCruiser bonus onboard credit and better-than-public fares at the top.
Three ways to sail from Seattle
Pick the trip and the list filters itself; both piers are 30 to 40 minutes from Sea-Tac.
Alaska Inside Passage, 7 nights
- Saturday or Sunday departures May to September, every line, every week
- Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, a glacier day, and Victoria the last evening
- No passport needed for US citizens; the Canada stop is on the way home
Best for: first Alaska trips, families in summer, grandparents and grandkids.
Glacier Bay, Hubbard or Dawes
- Glacier Bay National Park is the rarest permit and the one to chase; Holland America and Princess hold most of them
- Hubbard Glacier and Dawes Glacier in Endicott Arm are spectacular too, and on more ships
- Sea days in Alaska are the best sea days in cruising
Best for: photographers, repeat cruisers, anyone choosing between near-identical itineraries.
Pacific coast & Hawaii
- 3 to 7 night coastal repositionings to San Francisco, Los Angeles and Vancouver in late April and late September
- A few 10 to 12 night Hawaii one-ways and 16 to 20 night transpacifics as ships head south
- The lowest per-night fares out of Seattle
Best for: flexible travelers, locals who want a quick break, big-trip planners.

SmartCruiser picks
Sorted by what you save, biggest firstEvery sailing from Seattle
Stack any filters, then pick a sortPrices are per person, double occupancy, in US dollars, and include cruise fare, taxes, fees and port expenses as published by the cruise line at the moment you load this page. Fares are capacity controlled and change daily; the fare is confirmed when you book. Flights, hotels and transfers are extra unless the line’s offer says otherwise. SmartCruiser instant savings and bonus onboard credit are provided by SmartCruiser on top of the cruise line’s price and are not available when booking direct; amounts are per stateroom, vary by stateroom category and are shown for the lowest category offered. Special SmartCruiser rates are pricing SmartCruiser holds on that sailing for its clients, with extra onboard credit; you book your own stateroom and travel on your own. Senior fares apply to guests 55 and over; resident fares need proof of residency in a listed state or province at check-in; police and fire fares apply to active or retired police, fire and EMT personnel with ID. Qualifier-fare savings are measured against the best fare the cruise line offers the general public for the same stateroom category on the day the list was pulled, updated weekly.

Seattle cruise questions we answer every day
Which pier does my ship use, and what does parking cost?
Norwegian, Oceania and Regent sail from the Bell Street Cruise Terminal at Pier 66 on the downtown waterfront, where the Bell Street garage across the street runs about $33 a day (no RVs or vehicles over 6 feet 6 inches). Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Holland America and Carnival sail from the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91, north of downtown, where the on-site lot starts at about $27 a day with a free shuttle. Off-site park-and-shuttle lots run about $200 for a full week and serve both piers.
How far is Sea-Tac Airport?
About 15 miles to either pier, 25 to 45 minutes by taxi or rideshare depending on I-5. Light rail runs to downtown in about 40 minutes, then a short cab to Pier 66; Pier 91 is a cab ride from anywhere. We can add a transfer to your booking.
Should we come in the night before?
Yes if you are flying; Alaska ships sail at 3 or 4 p.m. and a morning flight delay can cost you the cruise. Stay downtown near Pike Place Market or the waterfront and walk to Pier 66, or cab ten minutes to Pier 91. Pacific Northwest locals can drive in the morning of sailing.
Do I need a passport for an Alaska cruise from Seattle?
Round-trip Seattle sailings are closed-loop, so US citizens can sail with a birth certificate and government photo ID, even with the Victoria, BC stop. One-way sailings between Seattle and Vancouver, and any cruise ending in Canada, require a passport. We recommend a passport for everyone: if you need to fly home from Juneau through Vancouver, or leave the ship in Victoria, you cannot board without one.
Are taxes and fees included in the prices here?
Yes. Every price on this page includes cruise fare, taxes, fees and port expenses. Gratuities, drinks packages, excursions and parking are extra.
What does SmartCruiser add that I would not get booking direct?
Bonus onboard credit per stateroom on sailings where the line allows it, instant savings on selected departures, Special SmartCruiser rates we hold on popular Seattle sailings, and senior, Washington and Oregon resident, and police and fire fares when they beat the public price. The picks at the top of the list are the sailings where that extra applies.
