Crystal Cruises

Crystal is back: 600 guests, a butler for every suite, Nobu at sea.

Crystal was the line that defined six-star cruising, and since its 2023 relaunch under Abercrombie & Kent it is doing it again on two rebuilt ships: Crystal Serenity for about 600 guests and Crystal Symphony for about 500. Fares are all-inclusive, butler service covers every stateroom and suite, and Umi Uma by Nobu Matsuhisa is on board at no extra charge. Voyages run 7 to 25 nights in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and the Caribbean, with world cruise segments every winter, and it suits travelers who want polished service without pretense on a ship small enough that the bartender knows your name by day two. SmartCruiser shows every Crystal sailing with taxes and fees included, SmartCruiser picks first, and SmartCruiser bonus onboard credit per stateroom on sailings where Crystal allows it.

Three ways to sail with Crystal

Pick one and the list below filters to it. Same ships and service, three different kinds of trip.

Signature

Mediterranean and Adriatic

  • 7 to 12 nights between Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Rome, Venice and Athens, May to October
  • Overnights in Monte Carlo, Venice and Istanbul on many dates, so the evenings count
  • Small enough for Portofino, Sorrento, Hvar and Nafplion

Best for: a first Crystal voyage, anniversaries, pairing with a few days in Italy

Winter

Caribbean and the Panama Canal

  • 7 to 14 nights from Miami and San Juan, November to March
  • St. Barts, Bequia, Jost Van Dyke and other islands the big ships skip
  • Canal transits and Costa Rica on the longer winter voyages

Best for: warm-weather regulars who have outgrown the big ships, holiday sailings

Go long

Grand Journeys and world cruise segments

  • 14 to 25 night sectors of the annual world cruise, or Grand Journeys across Asia, Africa and the Americas
  • Fly in, sail a segment, fly home; no need to commit to 120 nights
  • The lowest per-night fares Crystal publishes, with the most included

Best for: retirees with time, bucket-list ports, anyone who finds a week too short

When to go

Crystal moves with the seasons: Caribbean and the world cruise in winter, Europe from May to October.

January to MarchThe world cruise departs and its segments open up Asia, Africa and the South Pacific; the other ship works the Caribbean and the canal.
April to MayTransatlantic crossings and the first Mediterranean voyages: fewer guests, cooler ports, fares below summer.
June to AugustNorthern Europe, the British Isles and the Mediterranean at full stride; peak demand and peak fares, with the long evenings worth it.
September to OctoberWarm seas in the Med, foliage in New England, and the best-value European sailings of the year.
November to DecemberBack across the Atlantic to the Caribbean; the holiday voyages sell early.

Crystal Cruises questions we answer every day

What is included in a Crystal fare?

Nearly everything on board: open bars with premium spirits and fine wines, every restaurant including Umi Uma by Nobu, 24-hour room service, gratuities, Wi-Fi and your butler. Shore excursions, spa treatments and flights are extra, and we price any air you need with the fare so the total is clear.

What is Crystal like now, and who sails it?

Abercrombie & Kent rebuilt both ships before the 2023 relaunch, enlarging suites and cutting guest counts to about 600 and 500, so there is more space per person than before. The crowd is well-traveled couples in their 50s to 70s, mostly American with a strong international mix, and the days run on lectures, afternoon tea in the Palm Court, and dinner whenever you like.

Is there a dress code?

Most evenings are Crystal Casual: slacks and a collared shirt or a blouse, no jacket required. Each voyage has one or two Black Tie Optional nights where many guests do dress up, but a dark suit or cocktail dress is perfectly fine.

Is there a past-guest program?

Yes, the Crystal Society. Returning guests get onboard recognition and benefits that grow with the number of voyages sailed. Tell us your Crystal Society number and we attach it to the booking; if you sailed Crystal before the relaunch, your history counts.

Do I need a passport?

Yes, for every Crystal voyage, valid for at least six months past your return. Some world cruise and Grand Journey segments call at countries that require visas for US citizens, such as India or China; we flag those when you book and point you to the right process.

Are taxes and fees included in the prices here?

Yes. Every price on this page includes cruise fare, taxes, fees and port expenses. Excursions, spa and flights are extra, and we quote the total before you book.
