Carnival Breeze is the third and final Dream Class ship, delivered by Fincantieri in 2012 with a brighter Caribbean resort look than her sisters. She measures 130,000 gross tons and 1,004 feet, with 14 guest decks, 3,690 guests at double occupancy and a crew of 1,386. Carnival WaterWorks tops the ship with the 320-foot Twister slide, and SportSquare adds a ropes course, basketball court and jogging track above the Lido.
The ship brought Cucina del Capitano, Bonsai Sushi, Fahrenheit 555 and the Alchemy Bar together with the Dream Class staples: the Lanai promenade with its over-the-side whirlpools, Ocean Plaza, Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que. Her last dry dock, in 2022, refreshed carpets, upholstery and tiling, extended the non-smoking casino with a new bar and applied the red, white and blue hull livery; the next is scheduled for early 2027.
Carnival Breeze sails year-round from Galveston. Through April 2027 she runs mostly 4- and 5-night Western Caribbean cruises to Cozumel and Progreso. From May 2027 she switches to a 7-night program alternating Western Caribbean calls at Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Belize and Isla Tropicale with Eastern Caribbean and Bahamas cruises to Celebration Key, Key West and Nassau, plus an 8-day Christmas cruise and two 14-day Carnival Journeys sailings.

Is Carnival Breeze good for a first cruise?
Yes. The short Cozumel sailings from Galveston are an easy introduction, the ship is big enough to have a waterpark, ropes course, comedy club and several specialty restaurants but small enough to learn in a day, and Galveston is a drive-to port for much of Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana, so there is no flight to add.
