About Oceania Insignia
Oceania Insignia is one of Oceania Cruises’ four Regatta Class ships, the intimate 30,277-ton vessels that carry about 670 guests with a crew of 400. She was built in 1998 at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in France and has sailed for Oceania since the line’s early years. Her OceaniaNEXT makeover, completed in December 2018, rebuilt all 342 staterooms and suites and refreshed every public room, giving her the lighter, residential look of the newer fleet.
This is a ship for travelers who care more about where they are going than what is on the top deck. Oceania’s country-club casual style means no formal nights, open-seating dining, specialty restaurants included in the fare and a culinary program the line calls The Finest Cuisine at Sea. The small size lets Insignia dock in harbors the big ships cannot reach, and her itineraries lean long and port-intensive, often with overnights.
In 2026 Insignia sails the Mediterranean, the Baltic, Scandinavia, the British Isles and Iceland, then crosses to the Americas for a South America season Oceania bills as her 2027 Farewell Tour, including Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo, the Amazon and Patagonia. Summer 2027 brings a final run through the British Isles, Nordic shores, the Baltic and the Mediterranean, ending in Civitavecchia before she leaves the fleet in November 2027.
- Just 670 guests and a crew of 400, so service feels personal and lines are rare
- The Finest Cuisine at Sea, with Polo Grill steakhouse and Toscana included in the fare
- OceaniaNEXT refit in 2018 rebuilt every stateroom and suite with new bathrooms, lighting and decor
- Country-club casual atmosphere with no formal nights and open-seating dining
- Small-ship access to boutique harbors with long, port-intensive itineraries and overnights
- Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center with a sun terrace and fitness center
- The Library, Baristas coffee bar and the Artist Loft for sea days
- Farewell seasons in 2026 and 2027: Europe, South America, the British Isles and the Baltic
