About Seabourn Venture

Seabourn Venture launched in 2022 as the line’s first purpose-built luxury expedition ship, built in Italy to PC6 Polar Class standards with an ice-strengthened hull. At about 23,000 gross tons and 557 feet she carries 264 guests in 132 oceanfront veranda suites, served by a crew of about 120 and a 19-member expedition team of scientists, scholars and naturalists. Two Zodiac loading platforms, a Landing Zone on Deck 3 and 24 Zodiacs plus eight double kayaks let the whole ship go ashore quickly.

The ship keeps the Seabourn ocean-ship comforts: open-seating dining in The Restaurant and The Colonnade with no surcharge, premium spirits and fine wines poured all day, a personal suite host, a stocked in-suite bar and Swarovski binoculars in every suite. Expedition-specific spaces include the Expedition Lounge and Discovery Center on Deck 4, the forward Bow Lounge, the Constellation Lounge observation room on Deck 9, the Sky Bar and an infinity pool aft on Deck 5, and glass-walled saunas with ocean views in the spa.

Venture works the Northern Hemisphere from spring to fall and Antarctica in the southern summer. In 2026 she sails Iceland, Greenland, Labrador and the British Isles from Reykjavik and Kangerlussuaq in July and September, then heads south for the Antarctica, South Georgia and Falklands season from Ushuaia between October 2026 and March 2027. In 2027 she adds eight Arctic departures, two Northwest Passage round trips from Kangerlussuaq and Seabourn’s first 94-day Pole to Pole Grand Expedition from Greenland to Ushuaia, departing August 17, 2027.

Seabourn Venture questions we answer every day

How big is Seabourn Venture?
Seabourn Venture is about 23,000 gross tons and 557 feet long, with 10 decks and 132 oceanfront veranda suites for 264 guests, a crew of about 120 and a 19-member expedition team. She launched in 2022 as Seabourn’s first purpose-built expedition ship and was built to PC6 Polar Class standards with an ice-strengthened hull for Antarctic and High Arctic waters.
Where does Seabourn Venture sail in 2026 and 2027?
In July and September 2026 she sails 10- to 14-day voyages to Iceland, Greenland and Scotland from Reykjavik and Kangerlussuaq, then repositions via Canada, the Caribbean and Brazil to Ushuaia for Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falklands from November 2026 to March 2027. In 2027 she sails the British Isles and Northern Europe in spring, eight Arctic departures of 12 to 18 days from June, two 18-day Northwest Passage round trips from Kangerlussuaq, and the 94-day Pole to Pole Grand Expedition from August 17 to November 19, 2027.
What expedition equipment is on board?
Seabourn lists 24 Zodiacs, eight double kayaks and two Zodiac loading platforms with a Landing Zone on Deck 3, so landings move quickly for 264 guests. The Constellation Lounge mast carries a GSS Cineflex camera that can pick out wildlife up to three miles away and feed it to screens in the lounges and suites. Zodiac tours and landings are included; kayaking is an optional extra and is not offered on every itinerary.
What is included in the fare on Seabourn Venture?
All dining, including in-suite dining, is included, as are premium spirits and fine wines, gratuities, a stocked in-suite bar, a personal suite host, Swarovski binoculars in every suite, Zodiac cruises and landings, guided walks, the expedition lecture program, Wi-Fi at the level tied to your suite and a complimentary Helly Hansen parka on polar voyages. Kayaking, spa treatments and shore excursions in ports are extra. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Seabourn allows it, not available booking direct.
Which suite should I choose on Seabourn Venture?
Every suite is oceanfront with a veranda, so a Veranda Suite on Decks 6 to 8 works well for most guests; Deck 5 suites are closest to the Zodiac embarkation decks. Penthouse Panorama Suites have oversize windows with the bed facing the view, Penthouse Suites add a separate bedroom, and the two Owner’s Suites forward on Deck 7 include a heated wardrobe for drying gear. Wheelchair-accessible suites are 737, 738, 800, 824 and 825.
What is the Pole to Pole Grand Expedition?
