About Viking Venus
Viking Venus entered service in 2021 as Viking’s seventh ocean ship, named in England by British broadcaster Anne Diamond before a maiden season of coastal sailings around the UK. She is built to the fleet template, 47,800 gross tons, 745 feet long, 930 guests in 465 staterooms with a private veranda on every one, and carries the Scandinavian interiors, two-story Explorers’ Lounge and Nordic Spa that define Viking’s ocean ships.
She suits adults who want the destination to be the point of the trip. There is no casino and no children’s program; days are built around an included shore excursion in every port, lectures from a resident historian and guest speakers, classical music from the Viking Resident Musicians, afternoon tea in the Wintergarden and the Nordic Spa with its snow grotto. Wi-Fi, beer and wine with lunch and dinner and the alternative restaurants are included in the fare.
Viking deploys Viking Venus on the Pacific. For 2027 Viking lists her on 15-day Australia & New Zealand voyages between Sydney and Auckland, Komodo & the Australian Coast from Bali to Sydney, Bangkok, Bali & Beyond, Southeast Asia & Hong Kong, Far Eastern Horizons from Hong Kong to Tokyo, the 23-day North Pacific Passage from Tokyo to Vancouver and 11-day Alaska & the Inside Passage cruises between Vancouver and Seward.
