About Viking Mira
Viking Mira was delivered by Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy, on May 26, 2026, and christened in Venice with Rebecca Webb Wilson as godmother before carrying her first guests on June 5, 2026 on a seven-night Rome to Barcelona voyage. She is the third ship in Viking’s 998-guest series: about 54,300 gross tons, 784 feet long, 499 staterooms, every one with a veranda. Viking says she was designed so she can be retrofitted with new propulsion technology as it becomes available.
On board she matches her sisters Vela and Vesta: no casino, no guests under 18, no inside cabins, no formal nights. The fare covers one shore excursion in every port, every restaurant from The Restaurant and World Café to Manfredi’s and The Chef’s Table, beer and wine with lunch and dinner, Wi-Fi and the Nordic Spa thermal suite. The Explorers’ Lounge, Living Room, Wintergarden and Torshavn carry the Scandinavian design Viking is known for.
After a first summer in Northern Europe, Viking Mira spends fall 2026 and winter 2027 in the Mediterranean, sailing from Lisbon, Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia), Venice, Athens (Piraeus) and Istanbul. In April 2027 she heads north for the British Isles, Norway and Stockholm, then crosses between Bergen, Reykjavik and New York in August before returning to the Mediterranean in October 2027. She suits couples who want a brand-new ship with Viking’s quiet, destination-first style.
