About S.S. Marlene
S.S. Marlene is Uniworld’s new Danube Super Ship for 2027, an homage to the German-born actress and singer Marlene Dietrich. The design draws on her two careers, old-Hollywood film star and later cabaret artist, with warm tan and gold tones and accents of pink, red and blue in selected spaces. Its first sailing is set for March 27, 2027 on Tulips & Windmills from Amsterdam before it settles onto the Danube for Enchanting Danube, Delightful Danube and Eastern Europe sailings.
The ship shares the 443-foot, 154-guest platform of S.S. Emilie, with 77 riverview staterooms from 175-square-foot Classic rooms through French Balcony staterooms of 194 to 227 square feet to eight 286-square-foot Suites and two 412-square-foot Grand Suites with a tub and butler service. A Grand Suite can be combined with the Deluxe French Balcony next door into a two-bedroom suite. Public rooms include the restaurant, lounge, a private dining room, a spa and a fitness center.
In 2027 S.S. Marlene sails Enchanting Danube and Delightful Danube between Budapest and Passau or Regensburg, Delightful Danube & Prague, Highlights of Eastern Europe from Budapest to Bucharest and the 19-day Portraits of Eastern Europe from Prague, with family-focused Generations Collection departures of Enchanting Danube in July. In 2028 it adds Danube Holiday Markets, Grand Highlights of the Danube and the 24-day Ultimate European Journey. It suits travelers who want the newest ship on the Danube with a touch of cabaret glamour.
