About Amadeus Amara
Amadeus Amara is one of the newest ships in the fleet, launched in summer 2025 and listed by Amadeus as new in 2025. She is 443 feet long with four decks and carries a maximum of 164 guests in 70 outside cabins and 12 Amadeus Suites, with a crew of about 46. Her lightweight construction gives her an exceptionally low draft of about 4.3 feet for her size, which Amadeus says keeps her sailing through changing water levels and cuts fuel use, a practical advantage in low-water summers on the Rhine and Danube.
Amara brings something new to the Amadeus fleet: a heated indoor pool with a yacht-style club beside it, a Vital Club for massage and wellness treatments and a fitness room open around the clock. The suites have floor-to-ceiling windows and walk-out balconies, the Mozart and Strauss deck cabins keep the drop-down panoramic window, and the sun deck hosts morning stretch sessions and evening wine. The Panorama Restaurant, the bar and lounge, Café Vienna and the Amadeus Club complete the public rooms.
In 2026 and 2027 Amara splits her year between the Danube and the Rhine. From Passau and Budapest she sails Danube Rhapsody and Classical Danube weeks, from Vienna and Bucharest the 10 and 11-day 1,200 Miles on the Beautiful Blue Danube through the Iron Gates to the Danube Delta, and in Advent five-day Rhine cruises between Cologne and Strasbourg. The 2027 program adds the Blue Danube from Nuremberg to Budapest, the Three-Rivers Cruise from Amsterdam to Nuremberg and the 15-day Across Europe voyage from Amsterdam to Budapest. She suits guests who want the newest ship with a pool and spa on a Danube itinerary.
