About Celebrity Eclipse

Celebrity Eclipse joined the fleet in 2010 as the third Solstice Class ship and keeps the class’s best-loved original features: the half-acre Lawn Club of real grass on the top deck, Hot Glass classes, the adults-only Solarium with waterfalls, the Sky Lounge and the Quasar nightclub. A 2025 dry dock in Brest added ten staterooms, new soft furnishings throughout and a new Retreat Lounge on Deck 5 for suite guests.

Eclipse is a relaxed, grown-up ship that suits couples and well-traveled families who value dining and quiet space over waterslides. Ten venues include Murano, Tuscan Grille, Sushi on Five and Le Petit Chef, Blu for AquaClass guests and Luminae for suites, plus the Martini Bar with its ice-topped counter, Cellar Masters and the Passport Bar. Starlink keeps you connected at sea.

For 2026 and 2027 Celebrity Eclipse sails Northern Europe from Amsterdam in summer, the Mediterranean and Greek Isles from Barcelona, Athens and Ravenna in fall, and 9 to 13-night Eastern and Southern Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale in winter. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Celebrity allows it, not available booking direct.

Celebrity Eclipse questions we answer every day

How big is Celebrity Eclipse?
Celebrity Eclipse is 121,878 gross tons and 1,041 feet long with a 121-foot beam, carrying 2,852 guests at double occupancy. It is a mid-size premium ship: ten dining venues, a theater, a half-acre lawn and an adults-only Solarium, but not a mega-ship, so embarkation and dining reservations stay manageable.
When was Celebrity Eclipse last refurbished?
Eclipse had a three-week dry dock at Damen Shipyard in Brest in May 2025 that added ten inside staterooms, new carpets, furniture and upholstery in staterooms and public rooms, and a new Retreat Lounge on Deck 5. Eclipse did not receive the full Celebrity Revolution refit, so it has no Retreat Sundeck; Celebrity has said all Solstice Class ships are part of its renewal program that began with Solstice in 2026.
Which staterooms are best on Celebrity Eclipse?
Veranda and Concierge Class staterooms mid-ship are the best value for most couples. AquaClass adds Blu and the Persian Garden for a spa-focused trip. Aft Horizon Suites and Sky Suites bring butler service, Luminae and the new Retreat Lounge. Avoid staterooms directly below the Lawn Club or pool deck if you are a light sleeper.
What is included in the fare on Celebrity Eclipse?
The fare covers your stateroom, the Main Restaurant, Oceanview Café, Mast Grill and Spa Café, shows and live music, pools and the Solarium, the Lawn Club, the fitness center and Camp at Sea daytime sessions. Specialty restaurants, drinks, Wi-Fi and spa treatments are extra unless you add a package. AquaClass guests dine in Blu and suite guests in Luminae.
Where does Celebrity Eclipse sail in 2026 and 2027?
Summers are spent in Northern Europe from Amsterdam with Norwegian Fjords, British Isles and Scandinavia itineraries. In fall she moves to the Mediterranean with Athens to Ravenna and Barcelona sailings, then crosses to Fort Lauderdale in November for 9 to 13-night Eastern and Southern Caribbean cruises through April before an April 2027 transatlantic back to Amsterdam.
Is Celebrity Eclipse good for families?
Eclipse works well for families with school-age children and teens. Camp at Sea runs daily, the Teen Club covers 13 to 17, the Lawn Club hosts games and Hot Glass classes, and the pool deck has a family pool. It is a quieter ship than the Edge Series, so families seeking waterslides and go-karts should look elsewhere.
