About Celebrity Edge

Celebrity Edge was the first ship in Celebrity’s Edge Series when it entered service in December 2018, and it introduced the outward-facing design that the rest of the series followed. At 130,818 gross tons and 1,004 feet, it carries 2,918 guests at double occupancy with a crew of about 1,377. The cantilevered Magic Carpet, the Infinite Veranda stateroom and the Rooftop Garden all debuted here, and Celebrity still describes Edge as the ship that changed how it builds ships.

Edge suits couples and adult groups who want a modern, design-led ship with four included main restaurants, a serious specialty lineup and plenty of quiet outdoor space. Families are welcome too: Camp at Sea runs for ages 3 to 12 and there is a dedicated teen club. The Retreat gives suite guests a private restaurant, lounge and sundeck with its own pool, and AquaClass guests dine in Blu with spa-inspired menus.

For 2026 and 2027 Celebrity Edge splits its year between the Pacific Northwest and the South Pacific. Summer 2026 is seven-night Alaska round trips from Seattle, then a Vancouver to Honolulu leg and a Honolulu to Sydney transpacific in September and October 2026. From late 2026 through early 2027 it sails Australia and New Zealand from Sydney and Auckland, its fourth season down under.

  • Magic Carpet, a cantilevered deck that moves between decks 2 and 16 as a bar, restaurant extension and tender platform
  • Infinite Veranda staterooms with floor-to-ceiling windows that open the whole room to the sea
  • Rooftop Garden with live trees, the Rooftop Garden Grill, Garden Cinema and a rooftop concert series
  • Eden, a three-deck glass-walled lounge, bar and restaurant at the stern
  • Edge Villas: six two-story suites with private plunge pools
  • Resort Deck with a 25-meter lap pool, martini-glass hot tubs and an adults-only Solarium
  • The Theatre spanning three decks with seven stages and a rotating show lineup
  • The Retreat: suite-only Luminae restaurant, Retreat Lounge and Retreat Sundeck with its own pool

Staterooms and suites

Inside

Inside staterooms run 181 to 202 sq ft with a king-size bed, larger bathrooms and more drawer space than earlier Celebrity ships. A good value choice for guests who spend their days in the Rooftop Garden and Eden rather than in the cabin.

Ocean View

Ocean View staterooms measure 200 to 242 sq ft with large picture windows; forward-facing Deluxe Ocean View rooms are among the largest standard rooms on the ship. Edge Single Staterooms with Infinite Veranda (184 sq ft total) are built for solo travelers.

Veranda

Traditional Veranda staterooms are 202 to 228 sq ft inside with 40 to 89 sq ft balconies, including Sunset Verandas at the stern and Deluxe Porthole rooms with a veranda at the bow.

Edge Stateroom with Infinite Veranda

The signature Edge room: 243 sq ft of total living space including a 42 sq ft veranda zone where the window lowers at the touch of a button. Concierge Class and AquaClass versions add priority embarkation, a dedicated lunch and, for AquaClass, dining in Blu and spa-style amenities.

The Retreat Suites

Sky Suites, Aqua Sky Suites, Celebrity Suites, Royal Suites, Penthouse Suites, two-story Edge Villas with plunge pools and the two Iconic Suites above the bridge. Celebrity Edge questions we answer every day

How big is Celebrity Edge?
Celebrity Edge is 130,818 gross tons and 1,004 feet long, with 2,918 guests at double occupancy and a crew of about 1,377. It is the first and, with Celebrity Apex, the smaller of the five Edge Series ships; Beyond, Ascent and Xcel are about 70 feet longer with more staterooms. The size keeps the ship manageable while still fitting 29 restaurants, bars and lounges.
Who is Celebrity Edge best for?
Edge is a strong pick for couples, friends and multigenerational families who want modern design, good food and a calmer pace than a mega-ship. It is adult-leaning but not adults-only: Camp at Sea and the Teen Club run on every sailing. Guests who want The Retreat suite experience with a private restaurant, lounge and pool will find the full program on board.
What is the best stateroom on Celebrity Edge?
For most guests it is the Edge Stateroom with Infinite Veranda, which turns the whole 243 sq ft room into a balcony when the window lowers. If you prefer a real outdoor balcony, choose a Sunset Veranda at the stern. For the top of the ship, the two-story Edge Villas have private plunge pools and the Iconic Suites sit above the bridge with wraparound views.
What is included in the fare on Celebrity Edge?
Your fare covers accommodation, the four main restaurants, Oceanview Café, Mast Grill, Eden Café, the Theatre and Eden shows, pools, fitness center, Camp at Sea and the Teen Club. Specialty restaurants, drinks packages, Wi-Fi and spa treatments are extra unless your fare or suite includes them. The Retreat suites include Luminae, premium drinks, Wi-Fi and gratuities. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Celebrity allows it, not available booking direct.
Where does Celebrity Edge sail in 2026 and 2027?
In summer 2026 Edge sails seven-night Alaska cruises round trip from Seattle to Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Dawes Glacier and Victoria. In September 2026 it repositions from Vancouver to Honolulu and then to Sydney. From late 2026 into 2027 it sails Australia and New Zealand itineraries from Sydney and Auckland, including open-jaw Sydney to Auckland voyages, before returning to the Pacific Northwest.
What is the Magic Carpet?
The Magic Carpet is a cantilevered platform the size of a tennis court that rides up and down the starboard side of the ship. Depending on the deck it becomes a bar and live music venue, an extension of Raw on 5, the Dinner on the Edge restaurant on select nights, or a stable tender boarding platform at sea level. It debuted on Celebrity Edge and is on every Edge Series ship.
