About Celebrity Equinox

Celebrity Equinox entered service in 2009 as the second Solstice Class ship and in 2019 became the first of the class to receive the Celebrity Revolution makeover. That refit brought The Retreat Sundeck and Retreat Lounge for suite guests, the Craft Social bar, refreshed staterooms with eXhale bedding and Cashmere mattresses, and a redesigned Oceanview Café. Starlink satellite internet was added fleetwide more recently.

At 121,878 gross tons for 2,852 guests, Equinox offers the Solstice Class signatures: the half-acre Lawn Club of real grass on the top deck, the adults-only Solarium, the Sky Observation Lounge and ten dining venues including Murano, Tuscan Grille, Le Petit Chef and the Retreat’s Luminae. Equinox is also one of two Celebrity ships with the Frost Science Museum STEM program in Camp at Sea.

In 2026 and 2027 Celebrity Equinox is a Europe and South America ship, sailing the Mediterranean from Barcelona, Lisbon and Rome (Civitavecchia) in summer and repositioning to Buenos Aires for the South American winter season. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Celebrity allows it, not available booking direct.

Celebrity Equinox questions we answer every day

How big is Celebrity Equinox?
Celebrity Equinox is 121,878 gross tons and 1,041 feet long, carrying 2,852 guests at double occupancy. It is a mid-size premium ship with a 24-knot cruising speed, large enough for ten dining venues, a theater and the Lawn Club, yet small enough to feel calm and to reach Mediterranean ports that bigger ships skip.
When was Celebrity Equinox last refurbished?
Equinox received the Celebrity Revolution makeover in 2019, the first Solstice Class ship to get it. The refit added The Retreat Sundeck and The Retreat Lounge for suite guests, the Craft Social bar, redesigned staterooms with eXhale bedding and Cashmere mattresses and a refreshed Oceanview Café. Celebrity has since announced a wider Solstice Class renewal program that began with Celebrity Solstice in 2026.
Which staterooms are best on Celebrity Equinox?
A Veranda or Concierge Class stateroom mid-ship on Decks 7 to 9 suits most couples. AquaClass is the pick for spa lovers thanks to Blu and the Persian Garden. For the full Retreat experience with butler, Luminae and the private sundeck, Sky Suites are the entry point and the aft-facing Horizon Suites are a Solstice Class favorite.
What is included in the fare on Celebrity Equinox?
Your fare includes the stateroom, the Main Restaurant, Oceanview Café, Mast Grill and Spa Café, theater and lounge entertainment, pools, the Solarium, the Lawn Club, the fitness center and Camp at Sea daytime sessions. Specialty restaurants, drinks, Wi-Fi and spa services are extra unless packaged. AquaClass includes Blu and suites include Luminae.
Where does Celebrity Equinox sail in 2026 and 2027?
Equinox spends summer 2026 and summer 2027 in the Mediterranean with departures from Barcelona, Lisbon and Rome (Civitavecchia), visiting Spain, Portugal, Morocco, France, the Italian Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia. In November 2026 she crosses to Buenos Aires for a South American winter season before returning to Europe in spring 2027.
Is Celebrity Equinox good for families?
Yes. Camp at Sea runs daily for ages 3 to 12 with the Frost Science Museum STEM program, the Teen Club covers 13 to 17, and the Lawn Club and pool deck give kids room to run. The Solarium is adults-only, so families use the main pool. Longer European itineraries suit older children and multigenerational groups more than toddlers.
