About Celebrity Flora

Celebrity Flora is the first ship Celebrity built from the keel up for the Galapagos Islands, entering service in June 2019. It is a 100-guest, all-suite mega yacht of 5,922 tons and 333 feet with 50 suites and a crew of 80, sailing year-round from Baltra. Forbes Travel Guide gave it a Four-Star rating, the first for any ship in the islands. Dynamic positioning holds the ship in place without dropping anchor, solar panels supplement its power and there are no single-use plastics on board.

Flora is for travelers who want the Galapagos done properly with the comfort of a suite ship. Certified Galapagos National Park naturalists lead groups of no more than 12 on two excursions a day: hikes among giant tortoises and marine iguanas, snorkeling with sea lions, kayaking and Zodiac rides. Back on board, the Seaside Restaurant and the open-air Ocean Grill serve menus built on Ecuadorian ingredients, and the Discovery Lounge hosts the evening briefing.

Sailings are 7-night Inner Loop and Outer Loop itineraries from Baltra that alternate weekly, so a 14-night combination covers most of the archipelago. Celebrity sells them as 10 and 11-night packages with two nights at the JW Marriott in Quito, a guided city tour, flights to the islands and hotel nights after, plus a 16-night version that adds Lima, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Every sailing includes drinks, Wi-Fi, gratuities, park fees and all excursions.

  • Every one of the 50 staterooms is a suite with a personal suite attendant
  • Certified Galapagos National Park naturalists leading groups of no more than 12 guests
  • Two naturalist-guided excursions a day with snorkel gear, wetsuits, binoculars and walking sticks provided
  • The Marina on deck 3 for Zodiac boarding and water sports, with purpose-built Zodiacs with rear ramps
  • Galapagos Glamping: an optional night under the stars in a cabana on the top deck with stargazing and private breakfast
  • The Vista, an open-air sundeck with 360-degree views, cocoon loungers and cabanas
  • Seaside Restaurant and open-air Ocean Grill with locally sourced Ecuadorian menus
  • Dynamic positioning instead of anchoring, solar panels and no single-use plastics

Celebrity Flora questions we answer every day

How big is Celebrity Flora?
Celebrity Flora is small by design: 5,922 tons, 333 feet long, 100 guests in 50 suites and a crew of 80, giving close to one crew member per guest. The size matters in the Galapagos, where the national park limits group sizes and landing sites. It is the largest of Celebrity’s Galapagos ships but still a mega yacht rather than a cruise ship.
Who is Celebrity Flora best for?
Flora is for travelers who want the Galapagos with suite-level comfort and everything included. It draws couples, active retirees and multigenerational families on a bucket-list trip. Expect two excursions a day with hiking, snorkeling and Zodiac landings, so a reasonable level of mobility helps. There is no kids club, but families with older children and teens do well on board.
What is the best suite on Celebrity Flora?
Every room is a suite. The Sky Suite with Infinite Veranda is the standard and already includes a personal suite attendant. The Ultimate Sky Suites at the corners (365 sq ft) have wraparound views, the Royal Suites (559 sq ft) add a separate living room, and the two Penthouse Suites (up to 1,288 sq ft) are the largest, with glass-walled living rooms and wraparound verandas.
What is included on a Celebrity Flora cruise?
The fare includes your suite, all meals, unlimited drinks including beer, wine and spirits, Wi-Fi, gratuities, Galapagos National Park fees, two naturalist-guided excursions a day and all equipment such as snorkel gear, wetsuits and binoculars. The 10, 11 and 16-night packages add hotels in Quito and Lima, flights between Ecuador and the islands and guided tours. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Celebrity allows it, not available booking direct.
Where does Celebrity Flora sail?
Flora sails the Galapagos year-round from Baltra on two alternating 7-night routes. The Inner Loop covers the central and western islands such as Santiago, Rabida, Isabela and Fernandina; the Outer Loop heads to San Cristobal, Espanola and Floreana. Both are sold as packages with two nights in Quito before the cruise, flights to the islands and hotel nights after, with a 16-night option adding Machu Picchu.
What is Galapagos Glamping?
Glamping is an optional overnight on Flora’s top deck. One couple per night sleeps in a cabana under the stars with a private dinner, a stargazing session led by a naturalist and a sunrise breakfast. It is sold on board subject to availability and weather, and it is one of the experiences unique to this ship in the islands.
