About Westerdam
Westerdam is the third Vista Class ship, delivered by Fincantieri in April 2004 and the third Holland America ship of the name. At 82,348 gross tons it carries 1,964 guests at double occupancy with a crew of about 812, and a two-week dry dock in Singapore in January 2026 added 11 ocean-view staterooms on decks one and seven, bringing the count to 993. The same yard period put a bandstand in the Crow’s Nest, refreshed Canaletto and Lido Market, rebuilt the Deck 8 verandah bathrooms and redesigned the Effy Lounge.
Dining runs from the two-level Dining Room, Lido Market and Dive-In to Pinnacle Grill, Canaletto, Morimoto By Sea and Tamarind, the Pan-Asian restaurant found on only two Vista Class ships. The World Stage hosts production shows, the Rolling Stone Lounge and Billboard Onboard cover the music and the Lido Pool sits under a retractable roof. Westerdam is one of six ships in the Holland America Evolution renovation program, with its date still to be announced.
Westerdam is Holland America’s Asia ship. From September 2026 to April 2027 it sails 13 and 14 day Circle Japan and Japan and South Korea cruises from Tokyo and Yokohama, Far East voyages between Hong Kong and Singapore, and a 28 day Coral Triangle and Great Barrier Reef Legendary Voyage round trip from Singapore departing January 3, 2027.
