About Norwegian Aura
Norwegian Aura is a new build due to debut on May 21, 2027 and will be the longest and largest ship Norwegian Cruise Line has ever sailed. Built by Fincantieri in Monfalcone, Italy and floated out in April 2026, it measures almost 1,130 feet and 170,000 gross tons, about 10 percent larger than Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, with 1,976 staterooms for 3,879 guests at double occupancy. Norwegian describes it as an evolution of the Prima Plus Class.
The signature is Ocean Heights, a three-story open-air complex on decks 18 to 21 with five slides, more than any other Norwegian ship: the 400-foot Eclipse Racers dueling mat racers, the 250-foot Aura Free Fall body slide, The Wave four-person raft slide and The Drop dry slide from deck 18 to deck 8, plus an 82-foot ropes course, a 25-foot climbing wall, Aura Midway games, nine-hole mini golf and over-water cabanas above the adults-only Vibe Beach Club. The pool deck is the largest in the fleet.
Dining runs to 22 food and drink venues across more than 10 cuisines, including Tamara, Norwegian’s first Indian specialty restaurant, and The Panorama Room, an immersive complimentary main dining room with LED walls. The Mandara Spa thermal suite spans two decks with a sensory rain pool and snow cave. Norwegian Aura opens with a seven-day Mediterranean cruise from Trieste to Barcelona, crosses the Atlantic, and homeports in Miami from June 2027 for seven-day Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises.
