Norwegian Aqua: ship guide
First Prima Plus ship with the Aqua Slidecoaster, Glow Court and Sukhothai Thai dining.
Best for: Families and couples who want Norwegian’s newest ship class with the Slidecoaster and Glow Court, sailing Bermuda from New York in summer and the Caribbean from Florida in winter. Sails from New York, Miami, Port Canaveral (Orlando) in 2026 and 2027.

About Norwegian Aqua
Norwegian Aqua debuted in April 2025 as the first ship in the Prima Plus Class, a stretched and taller evolution of Norwegian Prima and Viva. At 1,056 feet and 156,300 gross tons it is about 10 percent larger than the first two Prima ships and carries 3,571 guests at double occupancy with a crew of 1,597, which Norwegian says is the highest staffing level of any new contemporary ship. The Ocean Boulevard promenade, Infinity Beach and Oceanwalk glass bridges carry over from the Prima design.
The headline attraction is the Aqua Slidecoaster, the first hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide at sea, next to The Drop ten-deck free-fall slide and the Glow Court, an LED-floored digital sports complex that becomes a club at night. Dining adds Sukhothai, Norwegian’s first Thai specialty restaurant, alongside Cagney’s, Onda by Scarpetta, Palomar, Nama, Hasuki and Le Bistro, plus a complimentary Indulge Food Hall with the plant-based Planterie counter. Shows include Revolution: A Celebration of Prince and Elements: The World Expanded.
In 2026 Norwegian Aqua spends the summer sailing five to eight night Bermuda cruises from New York with multi-day stays at the Royal Naval Dockyard, then returns to Miami for winter 2026 to 2027 Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings of seven and eight nights. In 2027 it sails weeklong Caribbean cruises from Miami on Sundays, with new calls in Falmouth and George Town, before moving to Port Canaveral for seven-day Western Caribbean cruises from October 2027. It suits families and couples who want Norwegian’s newest thrills.
