About Norwegian Jewel
Norwegian Jewel launched the Jewel Class in 2005 and remains one of Norwegian’s most versatile mid-size ships. At 93,502 gross tons it carries 2,368 guests at double occupancy in 1,188 staterooms with a crew of 1,069, and has two main dining rooms, the Stardust Theatre, up to 13 bars and lounges, two large pools with six hot tubs and a full Haven suite complex with its own courtyard.
Norwegian lists Jewel as refurbished in 2025 after a fall dry dock that added the adults-only Vibe Beach Club on Deck 14 with private cabanas and an extra hot tub. That followed the extensive 2018 Norwegian Edge refit that redesigned all 1,188 staterooms with new TVs, USB outlets, carpet, artwork and furniture and added The Pit Stop 1950s-themed bar and Bliss Ultra Lounge. Specialty dining runs from Cagney’s and Le Bistro to Moderno, Teppanyaki, Sushi and Chin Chin.
Jewel made history in April 2026 as the first ship to homeport in Philadelphia, sailing Bermuda cruises and ten and eleven-day Canada and New England voyages to Quebec City through late summer. For winter 2026 to 2027 it sails from Miami, and in summer 2027 it heads to the Baltic for seven and nine-day cruises between Copenhagen and Helsinki with new calls at Klaipeda, Riga and Gdynia. It suits couples and families who like a mid-size ship and interesting ports.
