MSC Musica is the ship that gave the Musica Class its name when it debuted in 2006. At 92,409 gross tons with 2,550 guests at double occupancy, it is a mid-size ship with mostly balcony cabins, a three-tier waterfall in the central foyer with a see-through piano suspended over a pool of water, the Teatro La Scala, the Crystal Lounge, the Sanremo Casino and the Havana Club cigar lounge.
A 2026 refurbishment at Palumbo Malta Shipyard, the biggest of the ship’s career, adds the MSC Yacht Club: 63 suites with keycard access, 24-hour butler service, the Top Sail Lounge, a private restaurant, pool and sun deck. The same refit brings Butcher’s Cut steakhouse and the Kaito Sushi Bar, a completely reimagined MSC Aurea Spa with thermal zones and a new MSC Gym Powered by Technogym with ocean views.
MSC Musica returns to service in Brazil on November 16, 2026, sailing three- and four-night mini cruises from Santos and Rio de Janeiro to Búzios and Ilha Grande, seven-night cruises from Paranaguá and Itajaí along the southern coast, and eight- and nine-night voyages from Santos to Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Punta del Este. In mid-April 2027 it returns to Europe for seven-night Western Mediterranean cruises from Genoa, Marseille, Civitavecchia, Valencia and Palermo through October 2027.

What changed in the 2026 refurbishment?
A roughly 45-day drydock at Palumbo Malta Shipyard from September to November 2026 added a 63-suite MSC Yacht Club with the Top Sail Lounge, a private restaurant, pool and sun deck, plus Butcher’s Cut steakhouse and the Kaito Sushi Bar. The MSC Aurea Spa was completely rebuilt with new thermal zones and a new Technogym gym took over the former nightclub, with updated public spaces throughout.

Butcher’s Cut, Kaito, drinks packages and the spa thermal area for Bella and Fantastica guests are extra.
