About MSC Poesia
MSC Poesia is a Musica Class ship of 92,627 gross tons that joined the MSC fleet in 2008 and came out of a six-week dry dock at Palumbo Malta Shipyard in April 2026 as a reimagined ship. The headline addition is the MSC Yacht Club, the line’s keycard-access ship-within-a-ship with 69 suites, a private restaurant, the Top Sail Lounge, a secluded sundeck and 24-hour butler service. Butcher’s Cut steakhouse, Kaito Sushi Bar, a redesigned MSC Aurea Spa and an MSC Gym powered by Technogym were added at the same time.
At 960 feet with 1,223 staterooms, Poesia is a mid-size ship by MSC standards, which is exactly why it fits the Panama Canal and Alaska. Most staterooms have balconies, a Musica Class trademark, and the Italian-styled public rooms are named after poets: the Teatro Carlo Felice, Pigalle Lounge, Bar dei Poeti and the Zebra Bar. Dining runs from the Il Palladio and Le Fontane main restaurants and the Villa Pompeiana buffet to the two new specialty venues.
For 2026 to 2027 MSC Poesia is one of the few MSC ships homeported in North America year-round. After its first Alaska season from Seattle it arrives in Miami in October 2026 for nearly 20 ten- and eleven-night Caribbean and Central America cruises through March 2027, then crosses the Panama Canal to Seattle for seven-night Alaska cruises from April 26 to September 2027 before returning to Miami. It suits couples and families who want a smaller MSC ship with longer, port-rich itineraries.

Interior
Interior and Deluxe Interior staterooms with a double bed convertible to two singles; MSC Poesia also has Studio Interior single staterooms for solo cruisers, making this a budget-minded way to sail a longer Caribbean or Alaska itinerary.
Ocean View
Ocean View, Deluxe Ocean View and Deluxe Ocean View with Obstructed View staterooms, with third and fourth pullman beds in most categories; a good value choice for the Alaska scenery.
Balcony
The majority of staterooms on this Musica Class ship: Balcony, Deluxe Balcony, Deluxe Balcony with Partial View and Premium Balcony at about 194 sq ft plus a 54 sq ft balcony, including Deluxe Balcony Aurea staterooms that come with the Aurea experience and its spa and drinks benefits.
MSC Yacht Club Suites
New in 2026 and reached by keycard only: Interior Suites of about 215 sq ft, Deluxe Suites of 258 to 323 sq ft with balcony, Two-Room Grand Suites, Executive and Family Suites and the Royal Suite with whirlpool bath at about 506 sq ft with an 840 sq ft terrace. All include 24-hour butler service, a dedicated concierge, premium drinks, Wi-Fi, spa thermal area access and priority boarding.
