About American Legend
American Legend is the fourth and newest of American Cruise Lines’ Coastal Cats, built by Chesapeake Shipbuilding and launched in late 2024 with an inaugural cruise from Florida before its christening in Key West. Like its sisters it carries 100 guests in 56 balcony staterooms on four decks, and its catamaran hull draws so little water that it can travel almost any river or waterway in the country with rare access into small ports.
The modern interior pairs spacious staterooms, from 250-square-foot singles to the 550-square-foot Grand Suite, with an elegant restaurant, several lounges, a fitness center and an outdoor café. Observation areas at the bow are the place to watch harbors slide by, the sun deck has a walking track, and the stern activity platform carries a tender and kayaks. Every fare includes meals, drinks, the cocktail hour, a hotel night, excursions and gratuities.
American Legend ranges the whole East Coast in 2026 and 2027. Winter brings Southeast Sea Islands cruises between Charleston and Amelia Island and Florida Gulf Coast & Keys round trips from St. Petersburg, spring the East Coast Inland Passage and American Revolution cruises between Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, and summer Northeast Harbors, Cape Codder round trips from Boston and New England Islands from Providence, before Hudson River Fall Foliage in October. It suits travelers who want the newest Coastal Cat and a varied year.
