About American Liberty
American Liberty is the third of American Cruise Lines’ Coastal Cats, delivered by Chesapeake Shipbuilding in summer 2024 and christened in Newport, Rhode Island as what the line then called the newest cruise ship in the USA. A 100-guest catamaran on four decks with 56 staterooms, it offers the access of expedition cruising with the comfort and stability of a river cruise, reaching small ports and inland waterways that larger ships cannot.
All staterooms have private balconies, from 250-square-foot singles to the 550-square-foot Grand Suite, with full-size furniture and large bathrooms. Observation and sitting areas fill the bow, the sun deck has a walking track, and the stern activity platform carries a tender for exploring straight from the ship. The modern interior takes its cues from the New England, Chesapeake and Southeast coasts the ship was built to sail, and the fare includes everything on board.
In 2026 and 2027 American Liberty is the Sea Islands specialist, sailing the nine-day Southeast Sea Islands cruise between Charleston and Amelia Island for most of the year, with Great Rivers of Florida from Jacksonville, the East Coast Inland Passage between Baltimore, Amelia Island and Washington, D.C., American Revolution cruises between Washington and Philadelphia for the 250th anniversary, and Hudson River Fall Foliage in October. It suits travelers who want Savannah, Charleston, Beaufort and the barrier islands in comfort.
