About American Symphony
American Symphony is the fifth ship in American Cruise Lines’ modern American Riverboat series, launched in 2022 by Chesapeake Shipbuilding. It introduced an updated interior inspired by American geography, with natural textures and calm color palettes, and carries 180 guests on five decks around a four-story glass atrium. Like its sisters it has an opening bow and retractable gangway, an outdoor walking track on the top deck and a fitness center.
All staterooms have private balconies and run from 250 to 615 square feet with full bathrooms and roomy closets. The fare covers open-seating dining in a restaurant with a view from every seat, the daily cocktail hour, all drinks, a resident historian, live music each evening, a pre-cruise hotel night and at least one excursion in every port. Several spacious lounges and the sun deck give plenty of room to watch the river.
American Symphony is the most widely traveled riverboat in the fleet. In 2026 and 2027 it sails the Tennessee Rivers and Music Cities cruises between Nashville, Chattanooga and Memphis, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park cruise, Lower Mississippi cruises, the winter Gulf Coast cruise between New Orleans and Pensacola, Ohio River cruises between Louisville and Pittsburgh, the Upper Mississippi and Grand Heartland, and the Arkansas River. It suits repeat river cruisers who want new water.
