About Carnival Adventure
Carnival Adventure sails year-round from Sydney and joined Carnival in March 2025 when P&O Cruises Australia was folded into the brand. She was built by Fincantieri in 2001 as Golden Princess, became Pacific Adventure in 2021 after a major refit, and now carries Carnival colors with the P&O favorites Australians know. At 108,865 gross tons she carries 2,636 guests at double occupancy with 1,100 crew across 13 decks and measures 951 feet.
The ship keeps the features that made her popular down under: the Byron Beach Club, an adults-only retreat with a pool, whirlpools and cabanas; the Edge Adventure Park with ziplining, rock climbing and abseiling; four pools and waterslides; and restaurants such as Waterfront, Angelo’s and Dragon Lady. Carnival added Fahrenheit 555, Bonsai Sushi Express, Piano Bar 88, Playlist Productions, Family Feud Live, the Fun Squad and its deck parties.
In 2026-2027 she offers short weekend getaways and Moreton Island cruises, 9- and 10-day cruises to Vanuatu and New Caledonia, Great Barrier Reef cruises to Airlie Beach and Cairns, 12-day Fiji cruises and a Melbourne Cup sailing, with select departures from Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland. In early 2027 she sails one-way between Sydney, Singapore and Melbourne before a Singapore dry dock in February 2027. She suits Australian families and groups who want a familiar ship with Carnival’s program.
