Carnival Magic is the second Dream Class ship, delivered by Fincantieri in 2011. At 130,000 gross tons and 1,004 feet long she carries 3,690 guests at double occupancy across 14 guest decks with a crew of 1,367. She introduced the SportSquare recreation area, which Carnival describes as home to the first ropes course at sea, along with Cucina del Capitano and the RedFrog Pub, all of which later spread across the fleet.
A 35-day dry dock at Grand Bahama Shipyard in April and May 2026 expanded the casino and arcade, redesigned the Lido Marketplace for better flow, refurbished WaterWorks and the pool decks, added a new mini golf course under the ropes course on deck 12, re-equipped the Cloud 9 Spa and fitness center, refreshed the shops and added Carnival’s From Sea to Shining Sea bow crest. The Lanai promenade with its over-the-side whirlpools and Ocean Plaza remain the ship’s social heart.
Carnival Magic sails year-round from Miami through at least spring 2028 on 6- and 8-night cruises. Six-night Eastern Caribbean sailings visit Amber Cove, Grand Turk and Celebration Key or Half Moon Cay, 6-night Western Caribbean sailings call at Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Celebration Key, and 8-night options cover the Southern Caribbean with Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao or the Eastern Caribbean with San Juan, St. Maarten and St. Thomas.

What is SportSquare?
SportSquare is the top-deck recreation area that debuted on Carnival Magic in 2011. It has a two-level ropes course suspended over the deck, which Carnival describes as the first at sea, plus a basketball court, jogging track, outdoor fitness equipment, ping pong and foosball. The 2026 refit added a new mini golf course directly beneath the ropes course on deck 12.
