Carnival Sunrise entered service in April 2019 after a top-to-bottom rebuild of the 1999-built Carnival Triumph, becoming the second Sunshine Class ship. She measures 101,509 gross tons and 893 feet, with 13 guest decks, 1,492 staterooms, 2,984 guests at double occupancy and a crew of 1,108. The transformation added SportSquare, Carnival WaterWorks, the Serenity retreat, the Cloud 9 Spa and most of the fleet’s signature restaurants and bars.
A dry dock in Cadiz, Spain, in February 2024 refreshed public rooms and staterooms, replaced the SkyBox Sports Bar with the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, made accessibility updates and applied the red, white and blue livery. Dining runs from Guy’s Burger Joint, Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que, BlueIguana Cantina and Pizzeria del Capitano to Cucina del Capitano, Bonsai Sushi, Seafood Shack, the Chef’s Table and Fahrenheit 555.
Carnival Sunrise sails year-round from Miami on 4- to 6-night cruises, with more than 70 departures booked through spring 2028.
