Fun Italian Style: a Venice-themed ship sailing from New York, Port Canaveral and Miami.
Best for: Guests in the Northeast and Florida who want an Italian-styled ship with Carnival’s casual fun, especially couples who book Terrazza rooms for the private deck and anyone eyeing the 14-day Southern Caribbean journeys from Port Canaveral. Sails from New York, Port Canaveral, Miami in 2026 and 2027.
Carnival Venezia was built by Fincantieri in 2019 as Costa Venezia, a ship designed around the city of Venice, and joined Carnival in 2023 after a refit in Spain. Carnival kept the Italian design and layered on its own restaurants, bars and shows, a blend it calls Fun Italian Style. At 135,225 gross tons she carries 4,090 guests at double occupancy with 1,424 crew and is 1,061 feet long.
The Venice theme is everywhere: guests board into the Piazza San Marco atrium, dine in the Marco Polo and Canal Grande restaurants, drink Italian wines in the Carnevale Bar & Lounge and watch Playlist Productions in the red-and-gold Teatro Rosso. Il Viaggio serves traditional Italian dinners, Tomodoro mixes Mexican and Italian, and the Terrazza staterooms come with a private sun deck called Terrazza Carnevale. Carnival favorites such as WaterWorks, SportSquare, Serenity, Guy’s Burger Joint and Fahrenheit 555 are all on board.
In 2026 she sails from New York through early October on 4- to 9-night cruises to Bermuda, Canada and the Eastern Caribbean, then moves to Port Canaveral from October 2026 to May 2027 for 7- to 14-night Southern, Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises. For summer 2027 she repositions to Miami, with Carnival Firenze taking over her New York season. She suits guests who want a European-styled ship with Carnival’s casual approach.

Fitness CenterSome bad news for you — your ship has a gym. In other words, there’s no excuse for leaving your fitness routine back on land. That’s great news, however, for your body, which will definitely benefit from all the extra energy that vacationing pumps directly into you.
Cloud 9 SpaSitting at home, it’s hard to imagine that, but trust it — it’s really, really nice to have a place to unwind from the day’s excitement. Escape to a world designed, from the ground up, for relaxation.

Mini GolfAh, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer's zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway... plus one cactus, a treasure chest... and wait, is that a windmill in the way?
Jogging TrackJogging may not immediately come to mind when you think of things to do at sea, but it probably should. You don’t have to walk on water, you just have to get on a Carnival cruise.
FitnessYou can have all the will in the world, a great attitude that keeps you working hard at the gym, but still not see the results you’re hoping for. If that’s the case — or you’re just looking to shake things up with a little extra fun or challenge in your workout — check out Carnival’s selection of onboard fitness classes.

Carnival Venezia questions we answer every day
How big is Carnival Venezia?
Carnival Venezia measures 135,225 gross tons and is 1,061 feet long. Carnival lists 4,090 guests at double occupancy and 1,424 crew. She was built by Fincantieri in Italy in 2019 as Costa Venezia and joined Carnival in 2023 after a refit at Navantia in Cadiz, Spain. Her sister ship is Carnival Firenze, which joined in 2024.
What does Fun Italian Style mean?
It is Carnival’s name for keeping the Venice-inspired design of the ship, from the Piazza San Marco atrium to the Marco Polo and Canal Grande restaurants, Teatro Rosso and the Gondola Lounge, while adding Carnival restaurants, bars, Playlist Productions and the Fun Squad. The result feels more European than other Carnival ships but runs on the same casual, family-friendly program.
What are Terrazza staterooms?
Terrazza rooms are Carnival Venezia’s version of the Havana program. Terrazza Interior, Premium Balcony, Premium Vista Balcony, Aft-View Extended Balcony and Terrazza Cabana rooms include access to Terrazza Carnevale, a private sun deck with whirlpools, drinks and entertainment, plus morning use of the Carnevale Lounge and robes. All guests in a Terrazza room must be 12 or older.
What is included in the fare?
The fare covers the Marco Polo and Canal Grande dining rooms, Lido Marketplace, Pizzeria del Capitano, La Strada Grill, Guy’s Burger Joint, Tomodoro, Swirls, the Teatro Rosso shows, comedy, WaterWorks, SportSquare, Serenity and the kids clubs. Il Viaggio, Fahrenheit 555, Bonsai, Seafood Shack, Frizzante, JavaBlue, drinks, the spa and Wi-Fi are extra.
Where does Carnival Venezia sail in 2026 and 2027?
She sails from New York’s Manhattan Cruise Terminal through early October 2026 on cruises of 4 to 9 nights to Bermuda, Canada and the Eastern Caribbean. From October 2026 to May 2027 she is based in Port Canaveral for 7- to 14-night Southern, Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, then moves to Miami for summer 2027 while Carnival Firenze takes over the New York season.
Is Carnival Venezia a good choice for families?
Yes. She has WaterWorks slides, a SportSquare ropes course, Camp Ocean, Circle C and Club O2, Guy’s Burger Joint and Swirls, and cabin options such as porthole and upper/lower interiors that keep family fares down. Adults get the Terrazza deck, Serenity, the Cloud 9 Spa and the Italian bars, so the ship works well for multigenerational groups.
