About Celebrity Apex

Celebrity Apex is the second ship in the Edge Series, delivered in 2020 and sailing its first guests from Athens in June 2021. At 130,818 gross tons and 1,004 feet it is a near twin of Celebrity Edge, carrying 2,910 guests at double occupancy with a crew of about 1,320. It keeps everything that defines the series, including the Magic Carpet, Infinite Veranda staterooms, the Rooftop Garden and Eden, and added the Craft Social Bar, a first for the fleet.

Apex works well for couples, friends and families who want a contemporary ship with 29 restaurants, bars and lounges and a calmer feel than a mega-ship. Four included main restaurants, Blu for AquaClass guests and Luminae for suite guests cover the included dining, while Fine Cut Steakhouse, Raw on 5, Le Petit Chef and Eden Restaurant handle specialty nights. Camp at Sea and the Teen Club run on every sailing.

For 2026 and 2027 Celebrity Apex is Celebrity’s ship for Britain and Florida’s Space Coast. Summer 2026 is round trips from Southampton to the Norwegian Fjords, the Arctic Circle, Iceland and the Canary Islands, followed by an October 2026 transatlantic. From late October 2026 to mid-April 2027 it sails seven-night Caribbean and Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral near Orlando, then returns to Southampton for the 2027 season.

Celebrity Apex questions we answer every day

How big is Celebrity Apex?
Celebrity Apex is 130,818 gross tons and 1,004 feet long, with 2,910 guests at double occupancy, 1,467 staterooms and a crew of about 1,320. It is a sister to Celebrity Edge and slightly smaller than Beyond, Ascent and Xcel, which are about 70 feet longer. The ship has 29 restaurants, bars and lounges and 15 guest decks.
Who is Celebrity Apex best for?
Apex suits couples, friends and families who want a modern, design-led ship with good food and a relaxed pace. From Southampton it is popular with British guests who prefer not to fly; from Port Canaveral it works for Florida families combining a cruise with Orlando. Camp at Sea and the Teen Club run on every sailing, and The Retreat offers a private suite enclave.
What is the best stateroom on Celebrity Apex?
The Edge Stateroom with Infinite Veranda is the room most guests should look at first: 243 sq ft of living space where the window lowers to turn the whole cabin into a balcony. If you want a real open balcony, choose a Sunset Veranda at the stern. At the top end, the two-story Edge Villas have private plunge pools and the Iconic Suites sit above the bridge.
What is included in the fare on Celebrity Apex?
Your fare covers accommodation, the four main restaurants, Oceanview Café, Mast Grill, Eden Café, the Theatre and Eden shows, pools, fitness center, Camp at Sea and the Teen Club. Specialty restaurants, drinks packages, Wi-Fi and spa treatments are extra unless your fare or suite includes them. The Retreat suites include Luminae, premium drinks, Wi-Fi and gratuities. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Celebrity allows it, not available booking direct.
Where does Celebrity Apex sail in 2026 and 2027?
Through October 2026 Apex sails round trip from Southampton to the Norwegian Fjords, the Arctic Circle, Iceland and the Canary Islands and Portugal, then crosses the Atlantic. From late October 2026 to mid-April 2027 it is based at Port Canaveral for seven-night Caribbean and Bahamas cruises to ports such as Key West, Bimini, Grand Turk, Puerto Plata and St. Kitts. It returns to Southampton for the May to October 2027 season.
What is different about Celebrity Apex compared with Celebrity Edge?
The two ships share the same hull, deck plan and signature spaces: Magic Carpet, Eden, Rooftop Garden, Infinite Verandas and The Retreat. Apex added the Craft Social Bar, which was the first in the fleet, and refined some venues based on what Celebrity learned on Edge. Day to day the experience is very similar, so choose between them by itinerary and homeport rather than by ship.
