Celebrity Ascent questions we answer every day

How big is Celebrity Ascent?
Celebrity Ascent is 141,420 gross tons and 1,073 feet long, with 1,646 staterooms, 3,260 guests at double occupancy and a crew of about 1,416. It shares the longer Edge Series hull with Celebrity Beyond and Celebrity Xcel, which makes it about 70 feet longer and one deck taller than Edge and Apex, with 32 restaurants, bars and lounges.
Who is Celebrity Ascent best for?
Ascent suits couples, friends and families who want a modern, upscale ship for a longer itinerary. The 10 and 11-night Mediterranean and Southern Caribbean cruises draw a mature, well-traveled crowd, but Camp at Sea and the Teen Club run on every sailing and school-holiday departures see more families. Guests who want The Retreat suite experience get Luminae, the Retreat Lounge and the expanded Retreat Sundeck.
What is the best stateroom on Celebrity Ascent?
Most guests should start with the Edge Stateroom with Infinite Veranda, 243 sq ft where the window lowers to open the whole room to the sea. If you prefer a real open balcony, choose a Sunset Veranda at the stern. At the top end, the two-story Edge Villas have private plunge pools and the two-bedroom Iconic Suites sit above the bridge with wraparound views.
What is included in the fare on Celebrity Ascent?
Your fare covers accommodation, the four main restaurants, Oceanview Café, Mast Grill, Eden Café, Spa Café, the Theatre and Eden shows, pools, fitness center, Camp at Sea and the Teen Club. Specialty restaurants, drinks packages, Wi-Fi and spa treatments are extra unless your fare or suite includes them. The Retreat suites include Luminae, premium drinks, Wi-Fi and gratuities. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Celebrity allows it, not available booking direct.
Where does Celebrity Ascent sail in 2026 and 2027?
From spring through October 2026 Ascent sails 10 and 11-night Mediterranean cruises round trip from Rome (Civitavecchia) to Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Italy and Spain, including a July 2027 sailing timed to the solar eclipse. In late October 2026 it crosses to Fort Lauderdale for a winter of 10 and 11-night Southern Caribbean and Panama Canal cruises to Antigua, St. Lucia, Barbados and the ABC islands, returning to Rome for summer 2027.
What makes Celebrity Ascent different from Celebrity Beyond?
Ascent and Beyond are sister ships with the same hull, deck plan and signature spaces, including the floating pools in the Rooftop Garden, the Nate Berkus Sunset Bar and Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud. Ascent, launched a year and a half later, refined the Retreat Sundeck and some venues. Beyond stays in the Caribbean year-round while Ascent alternates Rome and Fort Lauderdale, so itinerary is the real difference.
