The AquaDuck water coaster, Beauty and the Beast on stage and short Bahamas cruises from South Florida.
Best for: Families with young kids who want a short Bahamas cruise from South Florida or Port Canaveral with the AquaDuck, Castaway Cay and a Broadway-style show every night. Sails from Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, San Juan in 2026 and 2027.
Disney Dream opened the Dream Class in January 2011, built by Meyer Werft in Germany at 130,000 gross tons with 1,250 staterooms, 14 guest decks and room for 4,000 guests. She introduced the AquaDuck, a 765-foot water coaster that loops out over the side of the ship, along with virtual portholes in inside staterooms and the enchanted art that reacts as you walk past. Nearly 90 percent of staterooms are outside and more than 900 have a verandah.
A bow-to-stern dry dock in Brest in fall 2024 added the Dream Tower Suite in the forward funnel, themed to Fantasia, a Marvel WEB Workshop in the Oceaneer Club, a relocated Edge tween club with its own outdoor deck, a larger Hercules-themed Concierge lounge, a refreshed Senses Spa and a new cantina on the pool deck. Rotational dining runs through Animator’s Palate, Royal Palace and Enchanted Garden, and adults have Palo, Remy and The District.
Disney Dream sails from Fort Lauderdale from fall 2026 through April 2027 on three- to six-night Bahamas cruises and seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruises, with an April 2027 Southern Caribbean cruise from San Juan, then moves to Port Canaveral for three- and four-night Bahamas cruises through fall 2027 before returning to Fort Lauderdale in November 2027. Most sailings visit Castaway Cay, Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point or both.

Disney Dream questions we answer every day
How big is Disney Dream?
Disney Dream is about 130,000 gross tons and 1,115 feet long with 14 guest decks, 1,250 staterooms and a crew of 1,458. Disney lists capacity at 4,000 guests, about 2,500 at double occupancy. She is the first of the two Dream Class ships and sits between the smaller Magic Class and the 144,000-ton Wish Class in size.
Where does Disney Dream sail in 2026 and 2027?
From September 2026 through April 2027 she sails three- to six-night Bahamas cruises and seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale, then a Southern Caribbean cruise from San Juan in April 2027. From late April through fall 2027 she sails three- and four-night Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral, and in November 2027 she returns to Fort Lauderdale.
What is the AquaDuck?
The AquaDuck is a 765-foot water coaster that uses jets of water to push two-person rafts up, around the aft funnel and out over the side of the ship in a clear tube, then down through the pool deck. Riders must be at least 42 inches tall, and the line is shortest first thing in the morning and during dinner.
Which staterooms are best on Disney Dream?
Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah sleep up to five and are the best fit for most families. Couples often pick a standard verandah midship on Decks 8 to 10. Inside rooms get the Magical Porthole, so they are a good budget pick for short cruises. Concierge guests get the lounge, sun deck and the 2024 Dream Tower Suite.
Is there a casino on Disney Dream?
No. None of the Disney ships has a casino. Adults on Disney Dream have The District with Pub 687, District Lounge, Skyline, Pink and the Evolution nightclub, the Palo and Remy restaurants, Meridian bar, the Quiet Cove Pool and Cove Café, all reserved for guests 18 and over.
What is included in the fare on Disney Dream?
Your fare covers your stateroom, the three rotational restaurants, Cabanas, Flo’s Café, soft-serve and smoothies, soft drinks at the beverage station, the stage shows, movies, the AquaDuck and pools, deck parties, character greetings and the kids’ and teen clubs. Palo, Remy, alcohol, specialty coffee, Vanellope’s, the nursery, spa and shore excursions are extra.
