About Eurodam

Eurodam launched Holland America Line’s Signature Class in July 2008 and was named by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands in Rotterdam. At 86,273 gross tons with 2,104 guests at double occupancy, 1,052 staterooms and a crew of about 876, it stretched the Vista Class design with an extra deck of staterooms, the Pan-Asian restaurant Tamarind on the top deck and the Lido Pool under a retractable roof. The feel is traditional Holland America: teak Promenade deck, a full wraparound walk and plenty of quiet corners.

Dining includes the two-level Dining Room, Lido Market, Dive-In and New York Pizza & Deli, with Pinnacle Grill, Tamarind, Canaletto, Morimoto By Sea and a Morimoto sushi counter as specialty options. The World Stage hosts production shows, and the Rolling Stone Lounge, Billboard Onboard and The Dam Band cover the music. Eurodam is one of six ships in the Holland America Evolution program; the line already publishes a separate deck plan for sailings after March 24, 2027, reflecting a scheduled dry dock.

From fall 2026 to spring 2027 Eurodam sails from Fort Lauderdale on 7 day Western and Eastern Caribbean cruises and 11 day Eastern and Southern Caribbean voyages, nearly all with a day at Half Moon Cay. In summer 2027 it is Holland America’s Seattle ship, sailing the 7 day Alaska Explorer round trip with Glacier Bay, Icy Strait Point, Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan. In October 2027 it leaves Seattle on a 21 day Panama Canal crossing to Fort Lauderdale. It suits cruisers who want a classic ship and easy home ports.

Eurodam questions we answer every day

How big is Eurodam?
Eurodam measures 86,273 gross tons and is 936 feet long with 11 guest decks. It carries 2,104 guests at double occupancy in 1,052 staterooms with a crew of about 876, roughly one crew member for every 2.4 guests. It is a mid-sized ship by today’s standards and a near twin of Nieuw Amsterdam, with the same layout of a two-level Dining Room, World Stage theater and top-deck Tamarind restaurant.
When was Eurodam built and last refurbished?
Eurodam was built by Fincantieri in Italy and sailed its maiden voyage on July 1, 2008 after being named by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands in Rotterdam. Holland America’s fleet fact sheet lists its last major refurbishment as April 2018. It is one of the six ships in the Holland America Evolution renovation program, and the line publishes a separate deck plan for sailings after March 24, 2027 that reflects the next scheduled dry dock.
Where does Eurodam sail in 2026 and 2027?
From fall 2026 to spring 2027 Eurodam sails from Fort Lauderdale on 7 day Western and Eastern Caribbean cruises and 11 day Eastern and Southern Caribbean voyages, most with a beach day at Half Moon Cay. In summer 2027 it sails the 7 day Alaska Explorer round trip from Seattle with Glacier Bay, Icy Strait Point, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and an evening in Victoria. On October 2, 2027 it departs Seattle on a 21 day Panama Canal crossing to Fort Lauderdale.
Which staterooms are best on Eurodam?
For Alaska pick a Verandah stateroom so you can watch Glacier Bay from your own balcony; midship verandahs on the Verandah and Upper Verandah decks are the quietest. For the Caribbean an Ocean View on the Main deck is good value. Signature Suites add space and a tub, while Neptune Suites and the two Pinnacle Suites include the Neptune Lounge, concierge service and priority tendering.
What is included in the fare on Eurodam?
The fare covers the Dining Room, Lido Market, Dive-In and New York Pizza & Deli, plus World Stage shows, the live music venues, pools, fitness center and Kids Club where offered. Pinnacle Grill, Tamarind, Canaletto, Morimoto By Sea, alcoholic drinks, Wi-Fi and shore excursions are extra. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Holland America allows it, something you will not get booking direct.
Is Eurodam good for families?
Eurodam is a premium ship aimed mainly at adults, but it is a comfortable choice for families on Seattle Alaska weeks and school-holiday Caribbean cruises. Kids Club programs run for ages 3 to 17 on most sailings, the High Score! game room and covered Lido Pool work in any weather, and connecting staterooms and quad-capacity verandahs keep families together.
