About Ganges Voyager II

Ganges Voyager II is the all-suite boutique ship Uniworld charters for India. Built in 2016, she is 185 feet long and 41 feet wide, carrying just 56 guests in 28 suites with a staff of 36. Every suite has a sitting area, a French balcony with floor-to-ceiling glass doors and hand-painted murals in the colonial style, with a rain shower, Molton Brown amenities, under-bed storage, a flat-screen TV with on-demand movies and universal plugs.

She is the right ship for travelers who want India at a slower pace and a small, well-staffed vessel. Public rooms are the East India Restaurant, the Governor’s Lounge, a Sun Deck Lounge and Observation Deck, a fitness center and the Voyager Spa. Suites run from the 261-square-foot Signature and Colonial suites to the 400-square-foot Maharaja Suite with its fixed four-poster bed. Uniworld notes that amenities on this chartered ship may differ from its company-owned fleet.

Ganges Voyager II sails the Hooghly arm of the Ganges from Kolkata through rural West Bengal to Murshidabad and back. In 2026 she anchors the 13-day India’s Golden Triangle & the Sacred Ganges journey from New Delhi to Kolkata, with Agra and Jaipur before the cruise; in 2027 Uniworld adds a 16-day Cruise & Rail version from Kolkata to Mumbai aboard the Maharajas’ Express train. Ganges Voyager II questions we answer every day

How big is Ganges Voyager II?
Ganges Voyager II is 185 feet long and 41 feet wide, carrying 56 guests in 28 suites with a staff of 36. She was built in 2016 and is chartered by Uniworld for India. All accommodations are suites of 261 to 400 square feet with French balconies, and the public rooms are the East India Restaurant, Governor’s Lounge, Sun Deck Lounge, Observation Deck, Voyager Spa and a fitness center.
Where does Ganges Voyager II sail in 2026 and 2027?
She cruises the Hooghly branch of the Ganges round trip from Kolkata through West Bengal. In 2026 the ship is the cruise portion of the 13-day India’s Golden Triangle & the Sacred Ganges program from New Delhi to Kolkata, which includes Agra and Jaipur. In 2027 Uniworld adds a 16-day Cruise & Rail itinerary from Kolkata to Mumbai aboard the Maharajas’ Express train.
Which suites are best on Ganges Voyager II?
Every suite has a French balcony and sitting area, so the Signature and Colonial suites at 261 square feet already feel generous; Colonial suites sit on the upper deck. The Heritage, Viceroy and Maharaja suites step up to 280, 360 and 400 square feet, but all three have fixed four-poster beds that cannot be split into twins.
What is included on Ganges Voyager II?
All meals, drinks, guided excursions, hotel stays and touring in the Golden Triangle cities, internal flights within the program and gratuities for ship crew, local experts and drivers during the cruise and land stays. Uniworld notes some inclusions in India differ from its European ships. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on sailings where Uniworld allows it, not available booking direct.
Does Ganges Voyager II have a pool?
No. The ship carries the Voyager Spa, a fitness center, a shaded Sun Deck Lounge and an open Observation Deck, but no swimming pool. Days are spent on village walks, temple visits and the ever-changing river traffic of the Hooghly rather than lounging poolside.
Is Ganges Voyager II suitable for families?
Uniworld admits guests aged 5 and over in India but offers few activities for children, and this ship is not part of the Generations family program. With long touring days in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and a small adults-oriented ship, it is best suited to adult travelers and multi-generational groups with older teens.
