About MSC Grandiosa

MSC Grandiosa opened the Meraviglia Plus generation in November 2019: a stretched Meraviglia Class hull at 181,541 gross tons with 4,842 guests at double occupancy, 2,421 staterooms and a crew of 1,704. The Galleria Grandiosa indoor promenade runs two decks under an LED dome ceiling with light shows and art, lined with boutiques, Jean-Philippe’s chocolate and crepe counters and the Infinity Bar. The Carousel Lounge aft stages MSC’s Carousel Productions at Sea shows on a rotating stage.

Outdoors the Wild Forest Aquapark packs twisting waterslides and interactive features beside four pools, the Himalayan Bridge ropes course crosses the top deck, and the Sportplex has a sports court, two full-size bowling alleys, MSC Formula Racer simulators, a VR Maze and an XD interactive cinema. Nine dining venues range from Butcher’s Cut and L’Atelier Bistrot to Kaito Teppanyaki, and more than 20 bars include the Masters of the Sea pub. The MSC Yacht Club forward is a keycard-access ship within a ship.

MSC Grandiosa finishes its 2026 Mediterranean season in October, crosses from Barcelona on a 14-night Grand Voyage via Funchal and San Juan and then sails year-round from Port Canaveral. Winter 2026 to 2027 and summer 2027 alternate 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruises to Nassau, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve and Puerto Plata with 7-night Western Caribbean cruises to Nassau, Ocean Cay, Cozumel and Costa Maya, plus 3- and 4-night Bahamas escapes. It suits Orlando-bound families who want a big European-style ship without flying to Miami.

MSC Grandiosa questions we answer every day

How big is MSC Grandiosa?
MSC Grandiosa is 181,541 gross tons and 1,086 feet long, carrying 4,842 guests at double occupancy and up to 6,334 with every berth filled, with 2,421 staterooms and a crew of 1,704. It was the first of MSC’s Meraviglia Plus ships when it entered service in November 2019, slightly longer than MSC Meraviglia with more staterooms and venues.
What is the Meraviglia Plus Class?
Meraviglia Plus is the stretched second generation of MSC’s Meraviglia Class, made up of MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa and MSC Euribia. The ships keep the two-deck Galleria promenade with its LED dome ceiling, the Carousel Lounge and the MSC Yacht Club forward, and add about 200 more staterooms, a longer Galleria, extra dining venues and a bigger aquapark than the original two ships.
Where does MSC Grandiosa sail in 2026 and 2027?
After its 2026 Mediterranean season the ship crosses from Barcelona on a 14-night Grand Voyage via Funchal and San Juan and arrives at Port Canaveral in November 2026. From then through 2027 it sails year-round from Port Canaveral, alternating 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruises to Nassau, Ocean Cay and Puerto Plata with 7-night Western Caribbean cruises to Nassau, Ocean Cay, Cozumel and Costa Maya, plus 3- and 4-night Bahamas escapes.
Which staterooms are best on MSC Grandiosa?
Deluxe Balcony staterooms are the sweet spot for most couples and families, and the Deluxe Balcony Aurea adds spa access, a drinks package and the private Top 19 solarium. Solo travelers have Studio Interior and Studio Balcony rooms. For the top experience the MSC Yacht Club offers Deluxe and Royal Suites with butler service, a private restaurant, pool deck and lounge, all included in the Yacht Club fare.
What is included in the fare on MSC Grandiosa?
Your fare covers the main dining rooms, the Marketplace Buffet, Broadway Theatre shows, the pools, Wild Forest Aquapark, Sportplex basics, gym, kids clubs and the beach day at Ocean Cay. Specialty restaurants, Carousel Lounge shows, drinks, Wi-Fi and spa treatments are extra unless your experience level or a package covers them. SmartCruiser adds bonus onboard credit on MSC sailings where the line allows it, something you will not get booking direct.
Is MSC Grandiosa good for families?
Yes. Kids clubs run from the Chicco Baby Club through two LEGO clubs to Young and Teen clubs, and the Wild Forest Aquapark, ropes course, bowling, Formula Racer, VR Maze and XD cinema give families plenty to do. Connecting staterooms sleep up to four, and every Caribbean sailing includes a beach day at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve with its lagoon, family beach and evening lighthouse show.
