About MSC World Asia

MSC World Asia is the third World Class ship and MSC Cruises’ new flagship, delivered by Chantiers de l’Atlantique in November 2026 and named in Le Havre on November 28, 2026 before her first seven-night Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona on December 4, 2026. At 216,638 gross tons with 2,614 staterooms, 22 decks and a crew of more than 2,000, she matches her sisters in size but adds 13 new or reimagined spaces, Asia-inspired art and design, and a 39-foot stainless-steel dragon sculpture suspended above the World Promenade.

She is the first ship in Europe with The Harbour, the top-deck family park from MSC World America, bringing the Cliffhanger over-water swing, a ropes course, an aquapark and The Spiral @ Tree of Life, a 266-foot dry slide down 11 decks that MSC bills as the longest at sea. Inside are the retro Clubhouse with bumper cars and a LEGO Family Zone, more than 40 bars, lounges and restaurants including a new Pan-Asian Street Food venue, and the widest range of MSC Yacht Club suites in the fleet.

For winter 2026 to 2027 and summer 2027 MSC World Asia sails seven-night Western Mediterranean loops with embarkation at every port: Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia for Rome, Messina and Valletta, with Naples joining the rotation for summer 2027. She suits couples and families who want the newest MSC hardware on a classic Western Mediterranean itinerary, with the Bella, Fantastica and Aurea experiences or the keycard-only MSC Yacht Club.
