Norwegian Prima: ship guide
First of the Prima Class: Ocean Boulevard, a three-level speedway and a sea-view Haven.
Best for: Couples and families who want Norwegian’s newest design, more space per guest and strong specialty dining, with Caribbean sailings from Florida and San Juan or Iceland and Norway in summer 2027. Sails from Port Canaveral (Orlando), San Juan, Southampton, Reykjavik in 2026 and 2027.

About Norwegian Prima
Norwegian Prima launched the Prima Class in summer 2022 and reset what a Norwegian Cruise Line ship feels like. At 143,535 gross tons with 3,195 guests at double occupancy, it is smaller than the Breakaway Plus ships but gives each guest more space and more crew. The signature is Ocean Boulevard, a 44,000 square foot promenade that wraps the whole of deck 8 with Infinity Beach, glass-floored Oceanwalk bridges, La Terraza and the Indulge Outdoor Lounge.
Up top, the Prima Speedway is a three-level go-kart track, The Rush and The Drop are racing and free-fall dry slides, and the Galaxy Pavilion is a virtual reality arcade. Dining is a strength: Hudson’s has 270-degree views over the stern, the Indulge Food Hall serves 11 counters at no extra charge, and Onda by Scarpetta, Palomar, Nama and Hasuki are among eight specialty restaurants. The Haven sits aft across eight decks with its own infinity pool, restaurant and lounge, all with sea views.
For 2026 Norwegian Prima is sailing weeklong Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral, then moves to San Juan for Southern Caribbean sailings in winter 2026 to 2027. In summer 2027 it returns to Northern Europe with open-jaw voyages between Southampton and Reykjavik covering Iceland and Norway, closes the season with Baltic sailings from Helsinki, and is back in San Juan from November 2027. It suits couples and families who want a newer, roomier ship with upscale design.
