About Norwegian Spirit

Norwegian Spirit is a 75,904-ton ship with 1,972 guests at double occupancy and a crew of 904, built in 1998 and effectively reborn in a more than 100 million dollar revitalization that renovated every stateroom and added 14 new venues. Norwegian lists it as refurbished in 2022. Guest decks run from Deck 4 to Deck 13, and the ship was redesigned with the adult traveler in mind, trading its old kids’ waterpark for the adults-only Spice H2O lounge.

The makeover brought a second main dining room, Taste, the 24-hour The Local Bar & Grill, an all-day Garden Café, Onda by Scarpetta modern Italian, a Starbucks-stocked Atrium Café, the Bliss Ultra Lounge and a Spinnaker Lounge with Humidor Cigar Lounge. The Mandara Spa doubled to nearly 7,000 square feet with a thermal suite, and the Pulse Fitness Center grew. Cagney’s, Le Bistro, Teppanyaki, Silk and a sushi bar round out specialty dining.

Spirit is Norwegian’s Pacific ship through December 2027. It sails Australia and New Zealand cruises from Sydney and Auckland in the 2026 to 2027 summer, including four-night Tasmania tasters, then 11 to 13-day South Pacific voyages from Sydney, Lautoka in Fiji and Papeete to New Caledonia, Samoa, the Cook Islands and French Polynesia, plus Honolulu to Papeete sailings through the Hawaiian Islands.
