Norwegian Viva: ship guide
Prima Class sister ship: Ocean Boulevard, the Viva Speedway, Europe or Galveston.
Best for: Couples and families who want a newer, roomier Norwegian ship for the Mediterranean and Greek Isles in summer or a no-fly Caribbean week from Galveston in winter. Sails from Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia), Ravenna (Venice), Istanbul, Galveston, Miami, San Juan in 2026 and 2027.

About Norwegian Viva
Norwegian Viva is the second Prima Class ship, delivered by Fincantieri in August 2023 and christened in Miami by Luis Fonsi. It shares Norwegian Prima’s layout: 142,500 gross tons, 3,195 guests at double occupancy, a crew of 1,506 and the Ocean Boulevard promenade that circles deck 8 with Infinity Beach, Oceanwalk glass bridges and the Indulge Outdoor Lounge. Guests get more space and more crew per person than on Norwegian’s larger Breakaway Plus ships.
The Viva Speedway is a three-level go-kart track, The Rush and The Drop are dry slides, the Galaxy Pavilion is a virtual reality arcade and Tee Time is the mini golf course. Dining follows the Prima model with Hudson’s and The Commodore Room as main dining rooms, the complimentary Indulge Food Hall and specialty restaurants including Onda by Scarpetta, Palomar, Hasuki and Nama. The Haven aft complex has private elevators, an infinity pool, restaurant and lounge, all with sea views.
Norwegian Viva spends summer 2026 in Europe on nine to 11 day Western Mediterranean and Greek Isles cruises from Barcelona, Rome, Ravenna and Istanbul, then sails a second winter from Galveston on seven-day Western Caribbean cruises from October 2026 to April 2027. Spring 2027 brings Caribbean sailings from Miami before another Europe season, and from November 2027 it sails Southern Caribbean loops from San Juan. It suits couples and families who want a newer, upscale ship.
