About Seven Seas Explorer
Seven Seas Explorer debuted in July 2016 as the first ship Regent had built in 13 years and the start of the Explorer Class. At 55,254 gross tons and 735 feet, she carries 748 guests in 374 suites, all with furnished private balconies, with a crew of 548. Suite layouts range from the 307-square-foot Veranda Suite to the Regent Suite, and the ship is finished in Italian marble, crystal chandeliers and an extensive art collection.
Regent’s all-inclusive fare covers unlimited shore excursions, all eight dining venues including Prime 7, Chartreuse and Pacific Rim, unlimited drinks with fine wines and premium spirits, Wi-Fi, gratuities and valet laundry, with a pre-cruise hotel night for Concierge Suites and above. Evenings move between the two-deck Constellation Theater, the marble-bar Explorer Lounge, the Observation Lounge and a Monte Carlo-style casino.
Seven Seas Explorer is Regent’s Alaska ship, sailing 7- to 14-night voyages from Vancouver, Seward and Seattle in summer 2026 and open-jaw Vancouver to Whittier sailings in summer 2027. Between seasons she heads west: Japan from Tokyo in fall 2026, a 60-night Grand Asia Exploration to Sydney, Australia and New Zealand over the winter, Southeast Asia and Japan in spring 2027. In 2028 she enters dry dock for Regent’s Explorer Class Reimagined program, returning with larger suites and fewer guests.

Families and who it suits
Regent is an adults-oriented line with no dedicated children’s facilities on Seven Seas Explorer; a seasonal Club Mariner youth program runs on select summer and holiday sailings, which on this ship most often means Alaska in July and August. Teens who enjoy excursions and fine dining do well, but the ship is best suited to adults.
